  • evening all

    very busy on here tonight!
i am feeling the effects a bit today had to make do with a bit of cycling (not too much) I think my granny has swapped our hips over during the night (i'm a heavy sleeper!). On the right I seem to have an eighty year olds bones combined my normal youthful ones on the left. :D

Becky glad to hear you are feeling better... thanks for your encouragement. i really will get under 2 next time.

Uk..i cant believe you get asked for the nearest TK Maxx......thought it was just me! It looks like an expensive jumble sale to me (without fairy cakes)

looking for a my next one now......another half marathon for the end of Oct.....any thoughts......off to RW for inspiration.

Went for our 4.2 miler tonight, did the route backwards for a change of scenery, seem to be more hills this way round! Had to walk up the last hill.
Is it ok to walk as well? I feel like I'm cheating if I can't run the whole way.
Would you advise running 4.2 /5.9 every time we run (3 times a week) or would you do shorter ones in between? I've only been running since June so not sure of the best way to do it.
I'm booked on the 10k in October and I'm not mega fussed for beating world records, I'd just like o make it to the end lol.

if aint broke Saz then dont try to fix it..

But if you feel you can add sorter ones as well as the ones you are doing then add them.

but they will tell you that unless you do at least 4m then it really has no effect on inprovment,

if our legs dont like you adding itin you can allways take them back out. or just make the runs you are doing 1m longer thus giveing you 3 more miles in your weekly total. makeing you well on your way to your 10k in the mean time.

Wow just made it through all the weekend posts. Well done to everyone, some great runs and welcome saz.
Thanks for comments feeling better today after fridays run- If I am honest really fed up of following training plans, and fitting runs around the family has been a nightmare- I really miss running because I want to and just listening to my body- think this may well be my one and only marathon and will focus on 10k and 1/2 marathons for the future...

    Thu - 3/9 6m - 01:16:17 (12.43/m )
Sat - 5/9 - didn't get out for a run as we were doing a carboot sale and I didn't think my legs would go far!

    Week 10 -
Mon 7/9 - 4m - 50:22 (12.35/m) I am happy with this although I found this quite tough this morning as it was very warm (started to drizzle when I got back to the car ) and my legs felt tired from start to finish. Bumped into a friend 2.5miles in and was quite glad to stop for a minute tbh
Plans for the rest of the week
    Thu - 4m
Sat - 8m  I have planned out the route for this already, seems such a long way but I am gonna give it a go!

I can't believe how behind I am with the posts, I have about 5 pages to catch up on now!
