    Week 10 -
Mon 7/9 - 4m - 50:22 (12.35/m) I am happy with this although I found this quite tough this morning as it was very warm (started to drizzle when I got back to the car ) and my legs felt tired from start to finish. Bumped into a friend 2.5miles in and was quite glad to stop for a minute tbh
Plans for the rest of the week
    Thu - 4m
Sat - 8m  I have planned out the route for this already, seems such a long way but I am gonna give it a go!

I can't believe how behind I am with the posts, I have about 5 pages to catch up on now!

I still think you are amazing. :T I can't wait to catch you up! ;)

  • Good evening! I'm resting my poor legs today after my 12.45 miles yesterday. My hips and quads are rather stiff, as are my buttocks?! I think I'll also rest tomorrow and then try another run on Wed (not sure what distance would be best? Any suggestions??) I'm going to do the same 20K route on Saturday 12th as OH is doing the Great North Swim so I can't do it on Sunday, and then again not really sure what I should be doing the week before the GNR as prep, so again any advice gratefully recieved!
    Muchas Gracias! :D
Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.
  • I'd do a short recovery run tomorrow, I've been following the long ones with a steady 4 miler and it's been fine.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    Morning all,

Have sorted out my racing for the next couple of months ( unless of course I find any very interesting ones to add:D)

Has anyone got any suggestions for November?

  • Morning all, had a great run last night, feels like everything is finally working properly again. Not quite as far as I thought having mapped it out online this morning - tried out GPS tracker on my phone but it is obviously not that accurate (although I'm still trying to log in to my 'web portal' to see the route it tracked as it doesn't save them on the phone). Anyway, was 34 minutes - 3.3 miles (more likely) or 3.7 if you believe the GPS (I don't) or possibly somewhere inbetween. Happy with it either way!

  • Lol the GPS is definitely wrong, logged in to view it and I appear to have run half a mile then jumped over a few streets and run about in zig-zags for a bit :rotfl:
