Rich will have qualified for that next week anyway :D

No chance for me though - 3:40 , but hey if you run a qualifying time as a women you can ask to be moved into the Elite women's start to compete for prizes!!! Cool!
  • It just shows that a big city marathon can also uphold the spirit that was originally intended:

    PARTICIPANTS’ AGREEMENT
The B.A.A. Boston Marathonis a serious athletic endeavor. Official timing and scoring is done by net time and ceases at 4:45 p.m., at which time the course is opened to vehicular traffic. By signing and submitting this entry form, you are agreeing to comply with the following terms and conditions, and you certify the information you are providing is complete and correct:

Can you imagine VLM inserting this clause?:rotfl::rotfl:

But Boston will still have a 25,000 field and be turning away more people than it accepts.

We wont be doing this next year as we will most likely be doing Blackpool....but its on the list to do. The qualifying time of 3:20 seems reasonable (or 3:10 for anyone with a name starting with 'UK' or 3:40 for anyone who is female with ginger hair:p).

    Maybe 2011.....
    Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I am doing NY in 2011 (or at least I'd like too - no chance of getting in for next year but perhaps I may qualify for 2011!) :D

    This is the target:
    1:37:00 half

You'd have to do a 1:26 Uk to qualify - thats not too far off now :D:D

(international entry by ballot is virtually impossible tbh!) You still have to pay the fee though - but I get free accom so I'm okay.

    Rich - I'm not spectating - I'd be waiting for 5 hours for E & S
