as it seems to confirm that around a minute was lost due to, as the men's winner termed it, the 'toughness of the course'.

    Its running past 2 Pizza huts, 2 KFCs & 1 ( maybe even 2 ) Mcdonalds.

Is very tough not to stop to fill up. :D.

Besides I fear beckys Illness might be from the image of the Sheffield hills that you could run up and down ;).

As they are discussing on RW the main problem at the beginning was......3 Thunderbirds!!

    http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/forummessages.asp?dt=1&UTN=146737&V=6&SP=

The prats decided to park themselves on the front of the entire race and then subsequently run three abreast, taking up as much room as they possibly could, while running at about 8min/mile. As this was through a twisty single carriageway section the logjam built up quickly.

And the one downside of Sheffield is that you're still not legally allowed to shoot Thunderbirds in the street!

  • It was a decent race up front in Bristol today by the looks.

Ezekie Cherop and Mark Miles who finished 1st and 2nd in the Sale10 last month in 47:35 and 47:40 finished 1st and 3rd today respectively.

And the guy in 2nd between them was Thomas Abyu, the Salford Harrier, who has a 2:10:37 marathon PB.

    Not a bad 1-2-3!:D
