Some decent running there, ginger, although it might be a bit ambitious to get sub 1:40 on 6th Sept....but use it to put a marker down and then plan from there.
Well I'm naturally optimistic with my aims! But I wasn't that tired so here's hoping. Generally what happens is that I run for a few months, then get injured, take a few months to recover, then get lazy and another 6 months passes. That’s what happened for the past 4 years! That 1.36 HM was at the peak of my ability and the week after my knee went. The one good thing is that now I’ve discovered that blasting all my training runs at least sub 7min/mile is not a good idea so hopefully my injuries will occur less often and I’ll get better. Sub 40m 10K is my main target (I got to 40m 35s last time). Longer running is still my weaker area.
Gradually I’ll dish out my full running history
Oh, a question. At what distance is it advisable to take liquid with you on a training run. I hate carrying water with me so so far I haven’t but my last 1h 10min run was maybe pushing it?0 -
I can run for 10 miles without it, longer if its cooler and less if its about 25 degrees so thats about max 1:40 on a training run for me - but I run very slowly during most of my training so dont get thirsty provided I'm well hydrated before going out

UK - you're supposed to jump off it not run under it!

Actually you cant see the underside directly underneath as they covered the portway road bit there years ago to stop sucide jumpers splatting onto cars and causing even more fuss!!!
Well if I get two numbers you can have my second one!!!0 -
