Well it actually belongs to my employers, along with a few other properties dotted around the world.

They do have to be fought for though...high demand and all that!

Simply - that certainly is consistent! Was it an accident or did you intend to do that? I can never seem to run so evenly, I'm a bit of a slow, slow, quick, quick, slow kind of runner ;).

Hi Chick :hello: I was running on autopilot as I don't think that I really woke up until half way round and had some work issues on my mind; I guess I must just have got into a rhythm and stayed there for a while.

Becky; I think I've now recovered thanks - my legs weren't anywhere near as tired today. Just as well really as I've got my first 18 mile run on Sunday. :D

That villa looks fantastic Rich - what a bargain - put me down for the slowbie group next year please :rotfl:

Found this thread back on Page 3.

    8.16miles put in tonight in 1hr 15m 44secs.

Legs were hanging off me for the last mile or so, a little groin pain in the right area, little pain below knees.

Knew should not have had that operation and 2 weeks off. Back out sunday, must do more miles..or that extra lap that i did about 4 weeks ago.

    Miles this week..

    Monday - 3miles
    Wednesday - 4.8 miles
    Friday - 8.16 miles

Went for a run this morning and it took an entire 4 miles or so before i was happy running with minimal discomfort from wednesdays 10k. Teach me to do long stuff ;) It seems the longer you run the longer it takes to get properly 'warmed up' so to speak. Still 6 and a bit miles in a little over a hour isn't to bad for taking it easy.10 tomorrow and 10 Sunday finishes off the week for me. Might have to do Tuesdays run on monday morning as i'm having a new kitchen installed (not exactly cheap or debt reducing but at least once its done it wont need doing for years and years) from monday to tuesday so i'd be water less and thus showerless too. Not to mention cookerless but handily i'm working evenings all next week so will use the microwave at work for something.

I'm on hol at moment- runs def morning or early afternoon though;evenings are for drinking and eating :-) Having awful running week though, suffering from blisters (1st time ever- do I need new trainers?) and cramp. first run of week good but since have missed 1, only managed 40mins of 1hr 15min run and 37mins yesterday! Meant to be doing 12 miles tomorrow :-(!!!

    Sat8/8 parkrun Wimbledon 5K 19:03 (6:08/mile) (Posn 18th)

A nice sunny parkrun at Wimbledon ths morning.

The aim was to use this as a nice warm up for tomorrow's road 5K so the first lap was taken relatively comfortably to ensure that there wouldnt be too much muscle soreness to deal with before the morning.

Nonetheless just scraped a pb for this course of 19:03 (previous best 19:05) so that should bode well for a decent pace when translated to the roads.:D

Becky continued her progress back to form with a 26:32 (8:33/mile) clocking compared to 27:08 (8:44/mile) for the last 2 outings. She felt (and looked) a lot stronger into the bargain so lots of positives there.

Poor you evab - thats rubbish :( - hope you can go back to bed for a little while later at least!

Tq - are you tying you shoes up more tightly than usual?? That can cause blisters - depends where they are really, you could try two pairs of those thin socks...Hypno had the worst compression blisters ever in the month up to FLM this year from some new shoes and once she changed them they went away, but since you've had yours a while it would be weird to start getting blisters from them now - it be your feet swelling in the heat. However, if you've done more than 750 miles then you should get new shoes anyway :D

Had a great race today - negative splits of 13:25 and 13:07 which is very tough on that course (Rich has never done negative splits ;)) so am feeling good for tomorrow!!
