A much better run this morning; took a couple of miles for my legs to settle in but very comfortable after that. I wouldn't say that I was getting consistent but miles 2-6 were 10:09, 10:14,10:10, 10:10, 10:09 :rotfl::rotfl:

Well done on your longest run KYCU - 500ml of beetroot juice? Wouldn't like to think what that would do to my stomach???

No, KYCU, we are meeting at 7:50AM I don't know of any pubs that are open at that time. ;) I think perhaps it is because by the time we have all faffed about (women runners - lots of faffing about required :p) we will actually be on the road by 8am.

I quite like running on holiday - it gives you the chance to explore and see things differently. Take your running stuff anyway - you never know when the urge will strike.

Simply - that certainly is consistent! Was it an accident or did you intend to do that? I can never seem to run so evenly, I'm a bit of a slow, slow, quick, quick, slow kind of runner ;).

EC - that must be some lawn if it takes 2 hours to cut it. Are you sure you weren't cutting KYCU's parents field?

Ah I dont know why i thought it was 7.50 pm! I am taking my running stuff its just that I have this guilt complex about leaving the kids with the GF (they arent hers) and my folks (they dont know the GF much). I might have to go along the lines of you go into town and i'll meet you there. But then apparently its been darned hot lately in france so i might just get up early every few days and do a long run. Have to see how it goes ;)

I see the problem KYCU. Your opportunity will come when the GF is sunbathing (if it's hot) and the kids are occupied, then you can sneak off and none of them will notice. Fingers crossed you get a moment like that! Have a great time.

Hi all, just thought I'd pop in as I'm on a lunch break at the minute.

Becky, thanks for the idea of RP for hills. Don't know why I never thought of that. Certainly will be more scenic than Crystal Palace :)

I'm due to do 8 miles this evening as per my training schedule but I feel so tired I should rest tonight and go out early tomorrow. We'll see.

We are going to Alicante in spain - well nearby anyway, just down the coast - the whole trip was £200 :D

We've got a huge villa and just the two of us - so a week of running, drinking and eating is in order me thinks!!! (oh and maybe a few other things as well :p)

A running weekend!!! Wow go you!
