Impressive running, KYCU - I take it that it was the beetroot juice that gave you the extra 310 yards?:p

Although I'm a little puzzled how a group who could cycle for 11.25 minutes after the effects of the juice can be judged to have anything to do with endurance athletes.

    Good morning all!

    Well done KYCU excellent runnning.

I'm on a rest day, I crashed out at 8.15 last night and apart from getting up once at 0230 to sort dd out I slept until 8am!!! Even the kids slept.

I'm certainly in need of the rest, calves are tight and shoulders and neck aching. My back is still holding up well, my chiropractor said a few weeks ago that he was really pleased that it was repairing and staying repaired.

Beetroot juice! Wouldnt touch the stuff. I would drink it forget and think I was bleeding internally when it was on its way out

Well thats scientists for you, if it doesnt fit move the boundries. Maybe that is endurance if your used to swinging round on a chair all day trying to think of something to justify your wages.

I did the run with no mp3 player as i seem to have left it somewhere. So after doing that I probably wont bother with it ever again! I also had to run past a long street with loads of takeaways trying to tempt me with their culinary delights:rotfl:that was the hard part of the run realising how hungry I was.

Hi all, lazy bones checking in. Not been up to much over the last couple of weeks as I was on holiday in Mallorca last week. I managed two little runs when I was out there, but it was limited because the temperature was so high I could only run before 8.30 am. Not a problem normally, but I was on holiday.....

Anyway, I am now refreshed and went out for a run with my ladies' group last night. Just over 6 miles in an hour, so happy with that for now. I took it easy and had a chat with s friend I haven't seen for a while.

I went swimming this morning for a change. The pool was really busy. Friday at 6.30am must be some kind of swim club/triathlon club session as there were about 20 men charging up and down the pool at speed. Then they would wait at one end for further instructions from their coach, than set off again doing whatever he said. I can tell you, 20 men doing butterfly in the pool certainly makes it a bit choppy!

I'm out tonight for my birthday tea with OH, then I'm meeting a group of friends for a run on Saturday at 7:50. DOn't know who came up with that time, but hey, whatever. I may duck out of the Garstang Half as I haven't really trained for it at all. I'm thinking instead I may do the Great Cumbrian run as there will be a group of people I run with going up for that one. It should be fun.

I really need to get back into a routine after various hols, etc, but it is proving difficult at the moment.

Great running as usual from everyone. Glad to hear you are getting back into it sensibly Becky, you don't need to be getting ill again.

Evab - what a wonderful challenge to be running the Snowdonia Marathon. I would love to do it but haven't managed to get round to it so far. My OH lives in Blaenau Ffestiniog and he grumbles like crazy that he can't go on a flat run because of all the hills. Every credit to you girl!

Hi Chick, runs on holiday are you crazy! Have a lovely birthday and thanks for your comments on Snowdon - Blaenau just isn't flat, I sympathise with your oh!
  • Never went out this morning too tried!!!

My ankle is ok now must have just been the sitting about annoyed it.

Legs are a bit sore today but that can be expected especially when I cut the lawn last night which takes around 2 hrs!!

Hopefully get out this weekend at some point working on Saturday night though so it may be hard to get out!!
