May have missed this on the thread - but has anyone mentioned Eddie Izzard yet? running 30 miles a day for 7 weeks - that's unbelievable (especially given that he's apparently only done 4 weeks' training...)0

OMG he is going to fall apart :eek:0
-
He wont have that paunch when he's finished!:p
To run 180 miles per week for 7 consecutive weeks will require a hell of a lot of sleep however easily he is taking it.
It is tough to maintain between 80-100 miles per week for more tha 3-4 weeks believe me......so if he does it, it will be a huge achievement over such a long period of time.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Methinks there may well be a large degree of judicious cheating as the challenge progresses......the BBC/Sports Relief have no reason to let the actuality get in the way of a good story.;)Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Well it seems a lot of people have been plodding along with him checking he's still moving - I've signed up to his twitter so I'll know if he's running past, but think he's gone by already - I'd have been on the london-swansea leg he's just finishing now. Sure you can keep an eye on him when he's up your way

The 1000 mile world record is 10 Days 10 Hours and 10 Minutes, run in New York in 1988.
So based on that hes set himself a pretty soft challenge!
That will give him a WAVA of about 15%....pathetic!;)Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
