Just to report another run today - did a 7.3 at lunch...my legs were suffering a bit after footy yesterday, but got me round, although seemed to weigh twice as much as previously the whole way.
That's 16.8 so far this week, might do sprints with some guys at work tomorrow (1min on, 1 min off) before football later in the day - two things in one day, very ambitious0 -
The Ufdance 1/2 Marathon on 23rd August is going to be an unusual experience.
They're usually 1-lap courses or point-to-point but this one is a 6-lap course...great for pacing purposes. Cant wait!:D:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

6 laps so 110/6 = 18 minutes a lap vs your 75/6 = 12.5 minutes a lap
so thats 5.5 minutes a lap you'll be gaining on me which means you'll lap me on lap 4 - Is that right??0 -

A much more comfortable run this morning after Monday's demoralising effort; still didn't feel 100% but a vast improvement.
You are really flying at the moment UK; glad your running is going so well.
Well done bj-sailaway, evab and Idio - some good running there too!!!
Hi Jazzking; nice to meet you :hello:
Becky - I know I'm being lazy but ..... what date is the Arundel 10K? (Glad your cramp has gone by the way)2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Nice running Simply
Its 30th August at 9:30am - I dont think is flat though - winning time was 35 mins something last year...0 -
Thanks Becky; it's only 30 (ish) miles from me and is a lovely location so was giving it a bit of thought. Not flat though ...... think I might take a look at the elevations!!2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910

Ah, but all you need is an out of control dog to run into him again, and you're sorted! Just not the crazy dog at Roundshaw that was chasing our bums! That'll just make him go faster! Who the hell lets their dog do that???
Anyway, 4.5 miles this evening, bit slower though 10:41 compared to 10:18 best, didn't feel so strong, but pleased I'm consistently upping my mileage slightly and fairly easily each trip. Quote Becky 'it's getting the mileage in'. Given a few weeks, 6 miles is looking possible. 10K is about 6.2 miles, is that right?
Is there a good site for looking up running events?0 -
Hi bj; you might not have felt so strong but that's still a steady pace
You're right about 10k it's 6.21 miles.
There are a few sites for finding events; I tend to look on Runners World, Fetcheveryone or The Running Bug. It will be interesting to see which sites others use.2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910
