Okay, well if that felt comfortable then you are progressing nicely.:D
It would be a good time to try out a 10K and see what sort of true speed there is under the bonnet at this stage!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I loved it, I can't wait to go running in the rain again.
It was coming down like stair rods, the drips were flying off me.
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Evening
Good and bad to report...
Good - doc says I'm all fixed and I ran 12 miles in 1:59
Bad - I must have been dehydrated when I went out - drank my drink after 5 miles and couldnt do the last mile I wanted due to the most horrendous cramp in the arch of my foot...
Some good running going on by everyone
Nice speedwork Uk and great to get under an hour Linda, glad you and B.J enjoy running in the rain - I love it too!
Sorry to hear about the possible redundancy evab - hope you can get out tomorrow and use it as a chance to relax and de-stress...
Great 10 miler simply - running 10 miles at that pace is pretty impressive - especially with the wind and hills
Sorry if I've missed anyone! Happy running all!0 -

Just a 'steady as you like' midweek run tonight to work out last night's intervals. Very pleasant running conditions and feel all refreshed now.:D:D
Some good efforts going on today:
Simply - that is a very good effort in terms of showing how well you're now brushing off the after effects of a 16-miler. Clearly there was not much residue if you can hold a strong pace for 10 miles just 3 days later. Again, think back a few weeks and consider how impressed you would have been if someone had told you that you'd be able to do that.
Becky - Good solid mid-week distance run. To manage that after going into the unknown, muscle wise, yesterday is quite an achievement. Dont worry about the cramp, that will be as much to do with the extra stress the feet were put under yesterday as much as dehydration.
Are there really people who think you cant run in the rain?:rotfl:Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Hopefully get out either tonight or tomorrow morning running.
I quite like the morning run now as it gives more time in the evening.
Rich do you have any articles in relation to when the best time is to run?0
