Is there anything I can do to get the best out of my endorphins?

    Harder Faster or longer :D...

anything below 10m dont do much for me these days.:o.. ( but then i dont tend to do many under 10m runs at the moment. )

but a 20m feels super untill you sleep the rest of the day away so miss the feeling.

Congrats on the run mascott - resting then taking it steady is the way to go!

Idio, I wouldn't say I feel uber happy or silly grin on face after a 5/6 miler, but I do feel generally better for getting away from my desk, and minor office irritations don't seem so bad. Assuming the run went OK - just felt tired and deflated after yesterdays struggle.

yeah, I definitely get that - and I enjoy the time to order my thoughts, take a step back etc - but I would feel the same after an hour sat on a park bench, so I don't think that's anything "chemical" going on, that's just my mind doing its thing :)

    idio...
i feel qualified after been injured and out of action for three weeks.
i am not convinced it is just endorphins especially.
i think the fact that you are doing what you know to be good for you helps. people get massive highs from dieting for example. if you sat on a park bench i guess you would feel like you were wasting time

A nice early morning run for me again today with a refreshing downpour most of the way round. I was a bit concerned when I set out as I felt a little off colour yesterday but apart from feeling a bit tired it was fine. I think the endorphins kicked in as soon as I started running - I love rain!!! :D

Glad your knee held out mascott - you must be soooo pleased!

krider - I'm lazy as I tend to run the same routes over again; I just add different bits as the runs get longer.

Some good running posted today - should we have a whip round and collect some endorphins for Idio???? ;)
