C) not a good idea to built an incinerator just to annoy the people in South Belfast. - It certainly isn't. But neither is it a good idea to do it in North Belfast, it'll annoy them too. It'll annoy anyone who lives near it, wherever it is. But it does look like it is necessary, and at least we get a bit of power out of our rubbish.

Why not just ship it down the road a bit and throw it in someone's field in the Republic? We've got enough of their rubbish over the years!:D

Would a better solution not be to start recycling some of the stuff that the none of the councils actually take? A lot of plastic tubs can be recycled according to the markings, but I've yet to find anywhere to take them to. (Supposedly it's the wrong type of plastic)

Oh is that similar to "the wrong type of leaves" that fall on railway lines and "the wrong type of snow" that falls on the roads??

Thing about re-cycling (from what I can see and I do re-cycle a LOT!!) People really can't be ars*d!!. thats the biggest problem!!

There's so much stuff that goes into our black bin that could be recycled like yoghurt pots, margarine tubs etc but nobody will take them! If the councils actually tried to encourage more recycling by accepting more stuff, then the targets might be passed.

And then you find the !!!!! who think everything can be recycled and just end up contaminating everybody's recycling efforts! (Greezy pizza boxes cannot be recycled!:mad:)
