Debate House Prices
In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non MoneySaving matters are no longer permitted. This includes wider debates about general house prices, the economy and politics. As a result, we have taken the decision to keep this board permanently closed, but it remains viewable for users who may find some useful information in it. Thank you for your understanding.

I'm afraid I've read this thread and thought we're doomed - people started to snipe at each other on a thread where we'd had our @rses kicked for being an argumentative stroppy bunch.
I have found so much helpful info on this board and feel the same as Davesnake that its saved me money and lots of stress. I would be sad if it was axed but totally agree the whole atmosphere has changed. I do still enjoy (and laugh at) many threads.
Never felt its been cliquey. There are natural splits in opinion but hasn't caused me a problem. I happily post my thoughts - never very clever or enlightened but never felt people ignore or disrespect them because I'm not one of the in crowd. Who knows maybe I'm unobservant or you've all got me on ignore :rotfl:
I've only ever posted & got involved in the money based boards. I think if we were moved into discussion time (had to go and research where it was!) I probably wouldn't follow. But maybe thats a good thing I might get my life back.Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

The only reason this board exists is to keep the trash out of the House Buying/Selling/Renting board.0

I used to post here very frequently and spend a lot of time looking in but in recent weeks, I have found my interest has dwindled.
Part of that is because studying is taking over my life, partly because youngest is going through a difficult time with the upcoming transition into high school..and partly because I have found all the sock puppet, petty fighting etc, a bore.
I'm not sure what the answer is really as it seems to be happening on not just this forum but another one I frequent...maybe people are acting out through fear of the unknown, money worries as their jobs may not be as secure as they were.
I like to think of that as the reason as I like to see the best in everyone and give everyone the benefit of the doubt...but I doubt it would explain everything (much to my eekness)We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

don't worry i'm sure that Martin will get rid of the board and make himself look good at the same time.0 -
A compromise would be to retain titlle but shift it down into Arms and DT section.
If people want to post in it 'who are regulars', makes no difference to where it physically is on the site.0 -
