I used to work in a bar and when closing time came all of the bar staff would go round the other side of the bar where all the drunken men had dropped money getting it out of their pockets onto the floor LOL used to get loads.

I would normally never pick up - Oh the shame of the neighbours seeing lol - but after reading your tales, I am not only going to pick up but I'm going to get on my hands and knees everytime I go into a shop and get a ruler to prod under the counters, I bet you'd get a fortune doing that. :rotfl:May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080

I used to work in a club glass collecting. Used to find loads of money. Once £80 in one night.
Most usually around the base of the bar. Still have a sneaky look now when I go out. Have had a few self funding nights out that way.0 -
I'm a proud picker-upper!! Have even taught my DS1 (who's almost 8) to check the pavement!!Mortgage-free wannabe!0

My parents think I walk around with my eyes fixed to the floor as I'm always finding money, coins, gift vouchers, notes, bus passes, credit cards, mobile phones etc etcI want to take on capitalism, but cant get the day off work....0

I did this all the time at school but got teased mercilessly
! Often I found enough to buy something extra from the vending machines but still they didn't see why I did it.....!
It must have had an effect cos now I think I'd be too embarrassed if it was just little coins, even though I do save all my shrapnel and like it when it adds up after a bit of time! I think if it was a 50p or above I would pick it up, found a £10 note about a year ago and kept that, girlfriend made me share with her though  .
You've inspired me to get over my embarrassment, I don't promise to scour every pavement for coins but if I see any I'll try to pick them up, promise! :rotfl:Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... Avenue QOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 003Proud to have become debt free... and striving to keep it that way

I found £40 on New Year's Day this year. All wet and soggy and plastered over a drain cover in the gutter. It dried out beautifully! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160
