Taplady...hugs for DS2....hope that he manages to get his work on paper...do they make no allowance for him?

We still have Communion first here, after 4 years school and then Confirmation is when they are in their last year of Primary....at about 12/13...things can be slow to change in the Irish church!

Jayward, sorry to hear your news, make sure that you are aware of all benefits and credits that you are entitled to, I know that there are millions left unclaimed here so make sure you get everything you are due.

Visit to new doctor wasn't as difficult as I expected, he remembered me from the odd visit over the years when other doc was away. Was bothered about mole thingy on my breast, he froze it there and then...bit sore now but apparently it will just fall off....of course didn't ask how long it will take!m Biggest shock was that his fee is €60, double what I have been paying, so will keep visits to minimum I think!

Think that I will make something nice for after tea.....I really can't afford to eat nice things but feel a need to-day.

Off for pint of water, very thirsty to-day for some reason, have a good afternoon and evening all.

My laptop is poorly:eek::eek::eek: Turned it on today and it was showing as charging up which I was confused about as I hadn't used it as wireless at all yesterday. Had look at the status and is showing as empty:confused:(normally it closes itself down at 12%)and not charging:eek::(_pale__pale__pale__pale_:(:( no idea what is wrong. Of course its just out of guarantee(S/P?)

Annie, it might be the charger thats gone and not the lappy, they do tend to do that, and you can pick them up very cheap on ebay, if you fiddle around with the plug into the laptop, pull it towards you, and push away, and then it charges, you need a new one.

Taplady, hugs to your ds, hope he manages ok today, have you been to the Dr yet ??

Marie, ouch that sounds sore, take it easy hun xx

    Hi All,

Thanks for your lovely msgs of support re both my dad & my treatment.

Sorry to take so long to reply, but not got internet sorted out at home (must get around to it, am paying for a service I am just not getting!).

The edited version re the treatment is that went for scan #1 on Friday as planned. Unfortunately not as far advanced this treatment as in previous cycles, so had to go back again this morning. Am responding, but slower than before, so scan #3 on Weds and then hopefully we'll be at the right stage for Egg Collection on Friday. Am having a bit of a PMA crisis at the moment - feeling generally 'poorly' and very bloated. I know this is fairly normal for this stage of treatment, but that doesn't make it any easier!

Saw the psych today re Dad. He has prescribed the meds in a liquid format (couldn't re-assess today, as we discovered Dad has been throwing away or hiding the tablets, so can't judge if they would do any good!). Psych will give it 4 weeks and then re-assess. If he's no better when he HAS been taking the meds, then psych will consider having him in hospital for 'inpatient assessment' - if we can get him to go, that is. In the meantime a nurse from the memory clinic is supposed to start visiting weekly, to try and encourage dad to at least have a wash if nothing else!

(((HUGS))) to everyone in need/want of one, and good wishes to all,

    FE -x-

    Hello again

Lesley - that is a lovely photo

Taplady (((hugs))) to your DS, Im sure everything will be fine, am dreading my DD and exams/coursework

Jayward sorry to hear about OH's job. You will get though it, def have a look at the DFW board - they are amazing on there and perhaps the Benefits board.

Snoozer, glad to hear your dad is on the mend.

Sorry if I have missed anyone elses news.

Have been quite productive especially considering I had to pick up DS from school as his hayfever had caused him a headache. Have tried some different medicine today and hope that it makes a difference.

Managed to get DD her best birthday pressie every - she adores Miley Cyrus and got her tickets today for a concert in Dec. Now need to ebay everything in site to get some funds back. Also it is a very big carrot for her to be nice and well behaved - gawd knows what we will do after december :rotfl:

Just finishing off some paperwork, OH is cooking dinner tonight as I am off out for my best friends birthday, pub not too far from here and will be quite cheap but am more than looking forward to having adult conversation without kids interupting - something they are quite bad at now.

Anyway, hope you enjoy your evening whatever you are doing.

    ...almost forgot the OS bits!!!!!

Nothing today so far, but a fair bit done at the weekend - lots of cooking as we had the DSK's! Several loaves bread, meatloaf, crumble, banana cake, sausage casserole, pizzas...sure there was more but can't remember now. Also got several loads washing done & managed to dry it between showers. Other than that, not much housework apart from sweeping the floors, as was not feeling great and bending down is painful due to my swollen tum!

    Afternoon everyone!
Late to this thread today. Was up in the night with DD who then managed to sleep til 7am. Once we were up it seems to have been non stop rushing around!!
Have been in the garden this afternoon as it brightened up considerably. Even managing to dry a load of washing. Garden was desperate for a tidy up. Things suddenly seemed to have grown rapidly after the sun and rain and it was looking a bit like a jungle. Veggies are still coming on OK. spotted some baby caterpillars on one of my brassica leaves so quickly pulled that off. Need to get some fine netting - any ideas where from??
Busy week ahead in preparation for going away on Saturday with a few appointments this week thrown in for good measure.
Have some left over turkey meat to use for tea tonight. H wasn't very keen on it so might make some vegetable soup and bung it in for good measure.
Right off to feed the kids!
    have a good evening.
