    Hello All,

Been a busy bee the last few days. Busy week ahead too. Start a new job in a week and have to sort out lots of related stuff, (id badge and all that) Coupled with spending time with O/H before he leaves the country again :-( means I hardly have a mo to spare. But all good.

Certainly not done much O/S lately, must try harder.

N9eav the boat sounds good, enjoy.

    Have a good day all.

Off to work soon, then picking up a pork box direct from the farm (couldn't make the Farmer's market that we usually go to). Thank goodness for Google satellite view :T She told me that the farm's difficult to find, but it's there clearly :T

Scout meeting tonight, so pasta, cheese sauce and HG salad for tea.

    :hello: Good morning!

It's quite early for me to be up, but was woken by a quick burst of a siren outside. Peeped round the curtains and 2 policemen were putting someone into the police car which must have just caught up with them - they must have been pursuing him on foot. A bit too exciting first thing in the morning! Which reminds me, N9eav i'm so glad you caught the person who attacked that poor man!:T

Ruthibe and Anniestar - Great to see you back :j

I'm a happy bunny because i managed to iron 5 pairs of summer trousers on Saturday - now i have to try them on to make sure they still fit me, as i seem to have changed shape since last year! Most of my t-shirts now look dreadful so i have no idea what i'm going to wear on holiday - perhaps i'll take only the dark t-shirts so the lumps and bumps don't show too much :p We're going to M & S at Bluewater today so I can look for some new ones, though last time i tried that I got frustrated because all the colours i wanted were only available in sizes 10 - 14  A number of other larger ladies were flicking irritably though the racks too.

Loads of washing to do before I can start my packing :o Sadly it doesn't look as if I'll be able to get much of it dry outside this week  Oh well.

Dinner tonight :think::think::think: Probably stirfry, as we bought some chicken fillets on offer the other day so will use a couple of those and freeze the rest. And there's some black bean sauce to use up.

    ((((HUGS)))) to everyone.
  • Morning all,

Good luck to everyone doing exams etc.
Did a lot of tidying and organising over the weekend, but still have lots to do before I return to work on Wed.

    Todays jobs are
    - Washing, is in the machine already.
    - Got some diced pork (whoopsie) so need to create something for dinner, open to ideas! :D
    - Meeting friend at her house for lunch.
    - Need some fruit/salad bits which i'll get on my wanders
    - Must finish my nappy cake! Need a couple of pink bits.
    - The normal daily tasks, washing up, sweeping etc
    - Do a bit of ironing, going away next Monday so need to put some clean clothes in a pile ready. Not sure what, as is miserable weather here :(

Suppose better get going, hope you all have a good day,

    Morning everyone.
should be at school, but I've got the mother of all sinus headaches today, and slept for about 3hours last night (boo hiss hiss) I'm waiting for DHL to collect my marked exam papers, then I'm going back to bed for a couple of hours so I've got enough energy to finish the job. Got paid for attending the exam conference a couple of weeks back, so that's my summer fun money sorted.
Not much OS today, except that it'll be probably be a NSD.
Take care everyone, and good luck everyone who's doing exams or on the job hunt.

    Morning all.

    Day off for me, hoorah!

Kids off on school residential til Wednesday, so got a couple of days peace and quiet! Saying that, its cetainly not peaceful or quiet at the moment, as I'm having cavity wall insulation done. They've been here since 8am, so don't think it will be that much longer. Am leaving the hoovering til after they've gone, as there is a bit of dust about.

No exciting plans for today, despite not having kids to run around after. Will be general housework after working all weekend, usual washing and drying etc.

Might try some of the recipes out of this months slimming world mag, as there are a couple of veggie ones that look quite yum.

Have a good day all. :D
  • morning everyone
I'm new here and want to save money - I love all the tips and chat and sense of virtual community - I have 2 daughters both away from home one at college one living in France and they are both coming home on Friday for the weekend - I'm so excited!
Just need to plan and prepare some meals without spending a fortune but even when I'm determined not to spend too much in Sainsbury's I suddenly found I've spent 60 quid I can't seem to avoid falling into all the pitfalls when in the supermarket - shall I just avoid them altogether? :j
