Competition Scams - Please Post Them Here

Hello MSE Fans!
The truth is that a HUGE minority of these posts are spam and scams.
I have a filter set up on my mailbox to filter the words commonly used "congratulations", "you're a winner", and many more, to automatically get rejected by the server and bounced back as "undelivered", and boy in the 2 or 3 years since setting it up, I have received around 5 spam emails.
Thank god my email inbox is clean!
I am however being bombarded by pop-ups from these scamwits demanding my phone number too, I just hit the "red X" at the top right corner of the window, and !!!!!!! gone!0 -

I've had any number of genuine winning emails with the heading "Congratulations". Thank goodness it has never occurred to me to automatically reject them :eek:0 -

I'm new to comping but am avoiding any that look like 'allprizes/allcompetitions.com' just cuz I figure they're basically harvesting sites. Have even started checking the urls now as some comps for named brands - it looks like a legit page then notice that the web address is actually "futurecompetitions" - annoying.
I've noticed quite a few for "Competwition", not sure it's legit as it may well be companies using it as they do with surveymonkey. Any experience good/bad?0 -
DO NOT SIGN UP TO http://www.pointshop.co.uk FOR ANY FREE GIFTS, AFTER A FEW DAYS THEY CHARGE YOUR ACCOUNT FOR £45 EVERY MONTHS AND WILL NOT REFUND. I SIGNED UP FOR A ANGRY BIRD SOFT TOY AND WAS CHARGED AND THEY DONT CARE THEY GOT THEIR MONEY AND THATS THAT.0

Started entering competitions yesterday, today I got a call from 02036170862. Googled it and it was a company called Orchid Studios whose hits all consisted of scam. Glad I didn't answer, but still didn't take them long to get my details!0

Which comp do you think it came from one?
I entered a competition through a newspaper website but the actual competition was with myoffers.co.uk. Read on here afterwards about it and deleted my account with them but I guess it was too late. I think that must be that one because the other competitions I entered were through what I believe to be well known, reputable companies and brands and I am very careful about ticking/unticking the box to not give permission for my details to be passed on. Oh well have blocked the number now, they have rung 3 times today already!0
