  • Seems that this competiion comes into the scams' category.
The competition ended on 17th September and no winner has been announced to my knowledge. Lots of people seem to be asking the same question.
I have asked them three times for the name of the winner and have been ignored. I have even sent them a stamped addressed envelope for the result, as they asked for on their website, and even that has been ignored. It is not too long ago that their £1 million winner and their security printer ended up in the Crown Court for fraud. I wonder what the Dail Mail has to hide. Hopefully that there has only been some sort of hiccup somewhere.
Makes you wonder about these competitions. Family and friends only seem to win .

Do you mean by Dail Mail, the Daily Mail?

I am very interested in the subject of this topic.

What can you actually do to these companies that run these fake comps. (My perception is about half of them are.) Whats the punishment for it, who do you report them to?

I read something about the Advertising Standards Authority having a voluntary code or something once... but when I read the word voluntary I lost interest...
  • I had a "wem" from MyOffers for a Mini today. I deleted it and can't remember what it said exactly but it was a load of tosh!
Redundancy isn't fun - comping is!

I had the exact same one, it reads ' Our system randomly selected your email address from almost 25,000 users to take home a fabulous Mini Cooper (model of your choice'

I knew it was rubbish but its so cruel the way its worded

Our system randomly selected your email address from almost 25,000 users to take home a fabulous Mini Cooper (model of your choice)
