We travelled through Palma airport two weeks ago and we were approached to answer a questionnaire in return for entering a competition. We questioned the person who assured us that it was a government scheme and there would be no costs. Sure enough, we just got a call to say that we had won - and guess what - you need to pay £29.50 admin person (4) and attend a timeshare talk. Fortunately, I had heard about these scams and told my husband to tell them 'NO THANKS'.:mad:

Not that weird, they did that to my family 16 years or more ago! In Majorca. Scratch cards where to get your winings you had to attend a time share talk. Never got a prize bar free T.Shirts which became our swim T's

Gymworld.co.uk seem to fake competitions in order to get details. They announced on their website that I had won their last competition however I never heard from them despite sending many emails any letters enquiring into it. I have had quite a few spam emails though! I assume they just fake them in order to gather lots of details?
