Haven't had one for a while but this arrived today


This email is to inform you that you emerged a winner with a consulation (consulation, what's a consulation?) prize of the Microsoft Corporation EMAIL DRAW 2008.The selectionswas made through a computer draw system attaching personalised email addresses to ticket numbers.Your email address as indicated was drawn and attached to a ticket number:0805777755 with serial numbers:BTD/0257903122/07 which subsequently won you #500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand British Pounds) To proceed with your claims,you would be required to fill the Verification Form below completely and forward it to Mr lugard watt (obviously they can't afford capitals for names:rolleyes: ) immediately.

I have also been getting these messages recently to my comping email address. I didn't pay much attention to them and just deleted them really quickly. Why do you think funky.co.uk is involved?

Dunno, must just be what they picked on to make the email seem more credible

I just read another thread on the main comping board where people are complaining about this Russian lady. I get the impression that in each email she claims to have gotten her information from a different site.

If I get another email I will actually read it this time before I delete it.

On my mobile, I received like a text, but it was a message on my screen saying Andrew PC, do you want to add to your peripherique ? I pressed NO...
Has anyone had the same on their mobile phone recently?
I systematically put my mobile number on competition forms (Roboform does it for me), I bet that is from a scam competition.
Any idea anyone?
I've had lots of dodgy emails recently too...like the Russian girl and the Pavaroti one...

I have received a number of these emails in my comps email address from the same 'Young sexy girl'. They all claim to have got my email from a variety of sites, including funky, lifeout loud and a number of sites that I have definitely not registered with.

I believe they are just randomly mentioning sites that have some kind of user forum on them.
