  • Weatherseal.
See my post on I won,Iwon,I won first my post title was "I have won free double glazing and a new door".
Its all a massive con and I am yet to see how badly it plays out for us.
Basically after being stopped by weatherseal reps in my town centre mall I agreed to a visit from a salesman. We got some prices for a couple of things we were thinking of changing but not for a few months at least. Then we said too expensive for us so thanks but no thanks.Salesman then asked if we wanted him to check if we could get our windows etc for free with the feature homes promotion. We said okay, worth a try.He phoned his manager then someone else and said we had been chosen to receive 100% of our order when we placed one for free.So after much checking that there were no misunderstandings we placed and signed the order based on the fact that it was all for free.We did not sign any credit form.
We gave him an admin cheque of £70.
Tonight we got a call from GE capital bank to check the details of the credit agreement weatherseal had sent them on our behalf???£320 over 10 years???Thats hardly free!!!
It wasn,t a case of you could be the lucky winner,it was a fact that we had been chosen to receive free glazing etc,but its all a big lie!!!
This surely must be illegal, fraud, should I get the police involved???

I am pretty cynical but was given a freephone number to call. It came from 2minute draw .com does anyone know of this company?

  • Has anyone had this one?

My husband got a phone call off his mobile from Indonesia (+91) saying that he had won the opportunity to stay in a hotel in Bali.
She said that he had entered a draw around the time of the Rugby world cup and that we had been picked to stay at a luxury hotel in Bali for $150 for the both of us, and that it normally costs $1000 a night. We were told we were suitable as we were both over 35 and could travel in the next six months.
All we had to do was stay there and then give feedback at the end of it.

She is going to send an email with all the details on it, and has rung twice as the first time my hubby was told by her that he had the chance to check it out on the internet and to talk to me about it.

We did some digging and it's basically a development visit, whereby you go and stay in one of their resorts and then you visit one of their developments and have to go to a 90 minute presentation for the hard sell.

I suppose it's a good deal if you don't mind switching off for 90mins and aren't going to get sucked in, but it just shows that we have to be careful when thinking we've won something so marvellous...........

    Just be aware.

I haven't had one of these in ages. It does brighten up my day! Worries me that she cannot spell the name of her own country (Serielone), but I'll give her a break since her father has just "given up the ghost". Class!

    Hello dearest one,

It is my pleasure to write you after much consideration since I can not be able to see you face to face at first.Being the first and the only child of my father, late Mr Mokun Williams from Freetown in Republic of Serielone a country in West Africa I am 18years of age. My father was Diamond and gold merchant in Freetown before his untimely death after his business trip to Europe,to negotiate on a business. A week after he came back from Europe, he was shot with my mother by unknown assassins.

Which my mother died, instantly, but my father died after five days in hospital, on that faithful afternoon. I didn't know that my father was going to leave me after I had lost my mother. But before he gave up the ghost, it was as if he knew he was going to die. He my father, (may his soul rest in perfect peace) he disclose to me that he deposited the sum of $5.7 million U.S dollars in a Bank in Abidjan the capital of Ivory Coast. That the money was meant for establishing a branch of his business in Abidjan - Ivory Coast. Though, according to my father he deposited the money in his own name and mentioned me in the documents as the next of kin .Before his death he adviced and instructed me to seek for a trust worthy person abroad who will help me invest and manage this money for me until i am capable to handle it.

Now I have succeeded in locating the bank in Abidjan and also confirmed the fund is in there , most honest and confidentiality. Now I am soliciting for your assistance to help me transfer out this money out from the bank to your account abroad so that you can be able to manage and invest it in any lucrative business in your country and also help me to move out from here so that I can contiune my education which stopped since my parents death.I am Waiting anxiously to hear from you so that we can discuss how you can assist me on this as my guradian since it is the only condition that the bank said this my inheritance can be release to me at this my present age or i can wait until i am upto 25 years and above.

Thanks for your kind attention and i will appreciate to receive your reply to know if you will be able to handle and manage this my inheritance for me as my guradian. Please i am on my kneelsing begging you to accept standing as my guradian so that this my inheritance be transfer out from here.

    Best regards
    Miss Elodi Williams
