If anyone thinks this company's way of working is anything but crooked - think again.

Chris Smith - don't make me laugh!

  • I have just checked my account, was on £41.30 for ages, since January 2012, and had lost hope of this ever increasing. But I see that two surveys from late 2014 have credited and I am now very tantalisingly close (10p) to the £45.

I wonder how hopeful I should be now? Will it take another three years for that final paid survey to come and, if it gets credited, will I receive payment?

I suppose I'll have to wait and see (and then leave as soon as I am paid of course).

    Hi there,

Have you tried emailing Chris Smith at Chris@fastmap.com? See my post above for a response from the company.

    Thanks.

Right so a couple of recent surveys have taken me to £48.50. I logged in and couldn't see a redeem button so clicked on the T&Cs. There is a line somewhere in there that says you have to email Chris to redeem. Most sites just have a button!

Anyway I've sent him an email so will let you know what happens.

I've been with them for more years than I can remember and always fill in the surveys.
I emailed them going back over two years ago to say that I couldn't log in and promptly forgot all about it (Never had a reply)
I found this thread and after reading it, emailed again.
I got a reply from Chris, kindly giving me my log in details - the exact details that the website won't accept because they are 'incorrect'
Emailed him back telling him that - no reply!
So I've sent yet another email today, saying pay me and close my account or I will report them to the Direct Marketing Commission.
Hopefully I will get what I am owed and that will be the end of it - or maybe not!

Having recently discovered that my balance, after EIGHT years had finally reached the magic £45, I emailed Chris to ask when I might expect to be paid. He replied quite quickly requesting name, address etc - so I expect the cheque any time soon (ha-ha). Re-reading this thread does not inspire me with confidence.

What especially bugged me was the first line of the reply, ie,

'Thank you for bringing it to our attention that your account has now reached the £45 needed to receive a payment.'

Really ? How come every other survey company has such simple cash-out/redemption/pay procedures ?

I await my cheque with totally unbated breath!!

Well, surprise surprise! I had an email back to say that there was 'a bug on my account', which is why I have been unable to log on for years! But unfortunately the tech person was away, so it couldn't be rectified until their return, but would I like the money that I was owed. I replied yes, send my money and close my account. A cheque for £45 arrived two days later.
