Hehe its in buying for menswear with a highstreet brand and I need to know their competitors0 -
A friend of mine buys his underwear on market stalls.
Saw some packed in a pack of seven, so asked the stallholder "unusual number. Why seven underpants in a pack?"
Seller replied "Seven is useful pack size... Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. a week's supply".
"Oh no" said the potential purchaser, "I usually buy a dozen at a time. You know... January, February, March, etc".

My OH usually has his socks and pants bought for him at Christmas but if he is buying for himself he will go for M and S every time. (although whoever is buying for whim will also go to M and S!)
Good luck with the interview.0 -
mine gets his from Dunnes or Poundland if his christmas supplies run out.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

Ok, that makes it easier. My dh is a professional in the City with a working dress code of ''Smart Casual'' and is 30 (FWIW we both hate that and found daily suits easier, and cheaper, but its good for your potential employers I guess). The idea is its meant to be betetr for morale, more comfortable and cheaper, The truth is they spend twice (they need suits too, and DH's normal wardrobe of smart casual would be ninimal) and agonise over looking professional enough but not uncool.
He wears a mixture of vintage and highstreet, with the very occasionl ''designer'' piece, e.g. his two main jackets: one is vintage one is Mulberry. He gets trousers at gap, H and M, Joules (would go in to Burton or Next if you begged him), he gets the occasional shirt at Gap, but tries to avpid obvious shirts, so tends to look for double cuffs so that rules out lots of high street : I know he has found a fair few at TK Max, but I tend to buy them when I se them, or we go to smarter places in sales.
Socks: he got lots at H&M at chrsitmas, sometimes Gap. Plain black etc often from M and S. Underwear: again H and M, Gap or designer outlets. He tends to leave me to buy pants and socks TBH, but often has to buy them as ''emergencies'' on last minute business trips. My guess is he would look in Gap or M&S.
Good luck!0 -
My OH gets his from Quality Seconds in our high street, mostly because they're really cheap (and easy for us to get to).0
