cheers debt b gone its nice to have the support some peeps might be thinking why i dont use the £5000 to pay off the debt but i reaaly tried hard to get that and i dont want to just chuck it away IFSWIM-as this cc is 0% till nov i know we can save up enough to pay it back by then.0

Finally my cat is happily sitting on my lap rather than wanting to park her bum on the keyboard!
Wish i could stay up at night i hate getting up at 4am vicious circle really. We're going out for our celebration meal to celebrate saving £5000 and decide what we actually want to do with it. OH is still wanting a camper van.We'll see....;)
On the money saving front i received a voucher for a free yorkshire tea cake-:pthanks yorkshire tea-used to love saving up their tokens on their boxes they're stopping that now thou!Darn this credit crunch!
Ive been trying to get into my nationwide isa account to no avail-ive requested a temp password but it stil wont let me in i know ive got some money in there as i put some aside when i felt my job wasnt safe as id have a 10 mth contract each time but now they've given me a 2yr contract so ican spend a bit of it i reacon.:T0 -
Just been for a nice 30min walk along the river was really nice, the sun was shining and the geese a flapping.Why can't i have the motivation to do this every morning?0

Went for the most delish meal, it was a tasting menu, so asparagus triful and banaas and custard with popping candy mixed in yum yum spent £105 but hey ho all worth it.
Have decided what to do with the money-sort of. We're going to hire a camper van for a week end away and see if we like it, and if we do buy a camper van and if we dont keep onto the money.OH maintained that now was probabally the wrong time to move.And hey we've saved it once we can do it again!
OH came up with a long list of things we could spend it on like foreign holidays, adventure activities, a sports car only he can drive (i can only drive automatics) sort of the tiling on the roof, the 70's kitchen ie general house repairs etc so he has been thinking
Just done a lightspeed survey up to 380 points now in about 2 weeks it took me about 2yrs to get to the same level with ciao!0 -

Now i know i'm really carp with money as i had £900 in my isa and didnt realise so nice bonus!Withdrew £500 to reduce od and the rest i'll leave in there for holiday spends.0 -
No one seems to want to give me free money for opening a savings account but ive opened one with egg as its 2.5% and they do egg money management where you can log on and it'll tell you all your balances on all your accounts so no more 'lost' £900!
Meeting my dad later got him a box of choccies biccys in a nice tin from m&s and a card from them total price £5.49 oh and a bottle of cider we made cheap moi?0 -
Ended up paying for mum & dads coffee and cake at bettys today as both of them are skint cue £14 and spent £1 at the pound shop on 40 tealights-just been round to OHs parents for our usual free sunday roast nom nom
House reasonably clean and im in my pjs as we speak thou gonna try and stay awke until at least 10pm to get out of this vicious waking up early cycle im in.0 -
Made it to 9.30pm but i suppose laying in my bed watching tv didnt help matters! Was awake at 4.45 & went back to bed for a little bit to read but didnt go back to sleep.
Ms things i need to do today:
1. Ring Halifax and ask who they want me to make the £100 cheque to deposit into my new bank account to.(Are they Hbos, bank of scot,halifax who are they?)& send it off
2.Fill in expenses for a £6.50 train ticket i bought to go to a conf on fri
3.Ring HSBS and cancel od-money is in the bank but if i dont cancel od i know i'll spend it.
4. Have a NSD
5. Not v money saving but i must make an appointment for a beauty salon for a facial as i got some vouchers for my birthday in may and i have to use them up by two months(so if i dont use them it's not v MS!).0 -
