No I havent set up an ebay yet, as as fast as I have been making things they have gone! So there is nothing left to sell. I will have to start again!. Biggest of Mooloo's had the handbag. Mind you thats good as she will probably show it off around her mates.
I am waiting in for the warm front guy to come, and see if they can help me cosy up the cottage or not.
DS is on the computer upstairs.
I have been mending jeans for "my other family" BF's kids.
When they are finished I will create again. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Right, the man from Warm front came and had a look about. He said that they will put in a loft access, and put 10" of insulation up there. Will draught proof the doors and the windows in the leantoo/side of the kitchen and bathroom. Hes noted the storage heating. Thinks that its adequate, but he thinks they may change the hot water system, and also has applied for Solar Panal Grant! Anyway the loft insulation should make a big difference and be done within the next 6 weeks.
I am not feeling very well today, so I am going to have a lie down for a while. Got a headache ad a tummyache. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Wow thats great mooloo free hot water and free solar panels will save a fortune i would think my friend has the solar hot water and her heating bill went down dramatically .......................the extra insulation will help too
Great news , hope you feel better soon

Well I am up, but my neck is bad.Tummyache is gone, thank god. I have had some toast and cuppa soup, and a packet of Apple crisps. DS just wanted Cheese on toast. So no major cooking etc
I slept for about 2 hours.
Hopefully tomorrow I will feel more up to things. I shall have to watch the position of my neck when I am sewing, and stop for more frequent breaks when I get going.
This evening its no sewing as I am wanting to get my neck settled first.
Perhaps I will get up a bit earlier tomorrow, and feel better for my evening off, and see what I can do with the few things/fabrics that I have. Perhaps a few cushion covers out of the dalmation curtains.
Thanks to everyone on here for the support. With so many well wishers and people interested in my shift in life, I feel that I will be able to move on, and get the positive back. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
How about setting a timer when you are working? I know you might get engrossed, but decide beforehand how long you want to work, then set it.The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0

Your right. That would make some sense and I have a timer on my mobile phone!. :T
I think I should only do about 30 minutes at a time. Then get up and move. it the leaning over the table when I cut out, and hand sewing, thats when i am in the worst position. Problem is I dont realise it, until later!:rolleyes:When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hi try one of those wheat bags that you heat and put it round your neck whilst sewing. Try freecycle for clothing and material. Iv given bags of childrens clothes on our one.
If you can knit there is a great demand on ebay. Clothing that you have altered to be a one off could sell for a tidy profit. Im sure that the charity shop must get clothing that they can not sell but you could alter. Saves them getting rid of them and Im sure they would let you have them.0 -
I do have a wheat pad, kindly sent to me by the Nonney mice on here. I d use it all the time, however it is heavy on my neck at times, so I cannot use it all the time.
My knitting skills are a bit too basic. (Usually only the carrierbags I knit).
Altering clothes and doing one offs seems quite attractive.
I doubt charity shops will be able to give clothes away, as they sell the "rag" on to companies. When I worked at BHF it was sold for 50p a kilo.
But we were still not allowed to buy it.
However that may not be true of all charity shops. But the big commercial ones it is.
Plenty of ideas been coming my way. Thanks everyone.
I am going to make a couple of cushion covers out of some Dalmation curtains today, and I was thinking of perhaps making a laundry bag, or gym bag out of the rest.
I am just waiting for my tablets to kick in properly and then I will make a start.
I have to go to my mums and collect up the rest of the thngs the twins left there, and make sure that its all clean and tidy for them coming home this weekend.
They have ben in France for 4 month!.
Lucky them. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
