    fantastic news.

just one cautionary tale, be VERY careful of unpacked boxes as trip hazards. it was tripping over our recycling box which did for my shoulder. and it wasn't even in the way! I just caught my foot on it as I went to walk past it. :o
actually I meant to say 'not-unpacked boxes'. I'm sure if the black box had been empty it would have slid away from me when I caught my toe on it, instead of ambushing me!

    [STRIKE][/STRIKE] House

Well I had a reasonable night, although around 12.45 till about 1.30 I was awake, first woken by a screeching car tyres, then needing the loo, and then the sound of a few other cars, that I am not used to hearing,. The biggest difference was the lights coming in the windows as they go passed. So I will need to make thicker, lined curtains when i am back in the new year.

DGD slept really well, and only had a few talking in her sleep moments. She was up at 6am and brought the potty into my room to use it!
(The gate has been put at the top of the stairs and not on her bedroom door!)
I have unpacked two boxes since the men folk left. But thats it. I finished one this morning while I made my cup of tea. So there was not that much left in it, I was just too Kn^ckered yesterday to finish it.

The gas fitter is calling at 9am to see what the weather is like. I havent looked out of the window. Its so lovely and warm and cosy in the house. So far no draughts keeping me chilly thats for sure.
I have to go and get some cash for him, if he is still coming! I forgot that I needed money to pay him. (think I already mentioned that).
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.
  • Mooloo, I just wanted to wish you and DGD and the rest of the family a lovely Christmas, as I'm not sure I'll catch you again before the big day. :) I think you've just recevied the best Christmas present ever, and I hope you have a long and happy life in your new home, reading your good news over the last few days has made me feel all warm and tingly inside. :) xxx

Oh I think I already knew what you meant! I have stubbed my toes a few times, as I had taken my shoes off at the door, to save my lovely new carpets.
Sounds like you have made fantastic progress! Enjoy your new home :-)

I couldnt have done it without the men folks! Although I gave them all a good run for thier money. And boy doesnt my body know it today!

    Hitch

Sofa Bed people have no record of the order! Great. They have my money but not the order. So DS has no bed!.
Just as well he is hardly here!
Am off now to get him. He will not be pleased.

Well that will serve him right for not helping out. I can't believe that he let you down.

If you are going to BF for Xmas where is your son staying?

Have a lovely Christmas and forget about the boxes they will wait until you are back when you can open them at your leisure.
