Juat be careful - Ikky is a trap for unwary shoppers. 99p for this, £1.50 for that, £3 for someting else, and when you get to the checkout the bill is £:eek::eek:
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
  • Mooloo glad you got the vdeo ok, hope she is enjoys it.

Would it help to get 4 boxes and label them, one for ebay, one for charity, one for giving to other people, one for recycling (we have all different recycling options at the tip) then as you pass things you can pick it up and pop it in the correct box over a few days and when its full its time to deal with that box ie go to the tip, drop off contents to someone else (possible a twin!) and when the ebay one is full its time to start listing!

This just puts things in their 'correct' place over a few days and will not put too much pressure on you if you see what I mean but will mean you are slowly clearing things without too much pressure.

Also if you have loads of paperwork that needs shredding (I think it takes ages to shred loads at once) then start piling that in a box reading for a mini bonfire along with a toffee apple for DGD on 5th November, thats if you have some sort of metal bin or a chiminea to have it in?

Molly sounds like the perfect partner in crime to help you get organised, she sounds lovely.

    Take care

I shall take a list of what ideas I have (after browsing that website), look at them to compare, and be ruthless, and only take cash, so I can only buy what I can afford/budget for. Or yes I would come away with the shop.

I think that this will be a brilliant way for me to start. I shall go out to the barn and see if there are any cardboard boxes left from my last Dan Approved Foods delivery. (most went to Biggest of Mooloo to store her stuff in when she moved out of her flat).

I will have to wait until tomorrow as DGD says at the moment, its
"dicky dark" out there. (A saying that BF taught her on the holiday).

She is playing with playdough at the moment. This morning it was painting. Then we had cars and stuff, then we had kitchen then we have had books, and now playdough and cars are out. She is actually talking away to herself, and has started to mutter that bigggest of Mooloo is not here. (She was supposed to come over to see me, but she didnt.).

The dinner is done, the washing up has been also done, so I am feeling quite pleased with the bits I have achieved considering the way my body feels!! (battered, bruised and stiff!).

Have you thought of buying a Hide ID Stamp? You can use it to stamp over personal details instead of shreddig everything. Heres a link http://www.lakeland.co.uk/F/product/22155 .....im sure you can get a cheaper version on ebay!!

I would imagine this would be easier and less time consuming than having to shred everything. Then you could just put it in the paper recycling as all personal info is hidden.I am thinking of getting one as the last clear out of paperwork i had blew up my last shredder!

I cut out all ID info and burn it once a week in a tin bucket in the garden and put the ash on the borders.

I was shredding things, or tearing them up, when I got around to it, and turning them into paper bricks for the fire. But they take forever to dry.
I shall have a think about the pad idea, but that would still mean going through every single piece of paper one at a time an accurately covering the details. So I am not sure. I may just be slightly unfriendly to the environment and just burn it in my fires when I start them, which I will have to do, soon, as the electric meter is ticking dramatically.
I hope to get DS to dig out the wood that I have still left from earlier in the year, and have a few log fires before I do move.

I have just put DGD to bed, had a swift cup of tea, and got my tray ready for bed.
Decided that its time for me to catch up on one of the downton Abbey recorded. I keep forgetting that I have Skyplus.
That is something I will also have to factor into my costings. The installation of another dish, etc. There is definitely nothing installed at the new house. Wonder if there is even a phone line.
(all this is of course if the house does become mine!).

The thought of all these things are beginning to really pile up!!

Well its a bit later then I expected.
We were able to stay inbed until 7ish this morning, when DGD woke, as nobody to take to the bus.
I had expected to be going to see my grandsons today, but was told that it could not be arranged in the end, so I am very dissapointed.
    So no set plans today.
DGD has been painting and I have been downloading the video clips that I took on holiday of DGD an BF in the park, bit of swimming and the dolphin show. There was a few bits of the boys at the beginning of the camera as well. (I had forgotten I had taken it there. must take it next week.). Will makesure that I take spare batteries with me.

I am still in my dressinggown. Time I went for my shower. DGD is watching a video, so I may manage it in relative peace. If you can get peace with a toddler. Cant believe that she is 3 now!

It sounds as if you are reaching a really exciting time again Mooloo - remember the estate agents advice - "always buy the worse house on the best street" - and it sounds as if the house that you are going to be allocated falls right into that category. If, as you say, most of the houses appear to be owner-occupied then the chances that you could be saddled with anti-social neighbours is lessened too.

Fingers crossed that it all works out well - the fact that it is on a bus route might also encourage DS to stay home again.

Thats a good idea. Wondeful way to think about it. Lets just hope now that my nomination is a success, and that I do indeed get offered the house I am think it is. !

    Just out of the shower.
Must muster up the energy to go and dry my hair and dress before the whole day is gone.

Re DS, if I can muster up the money, I shall buy him a sofa bed so that he can have a room that is duel purpose. He is keen on that idea. So nearer the time, I will look in the charity furniture shop, and on freecycle, and if not we will just have to save for one from somewhere else.
