Shaz I am not sure how it will work. I may be able to get help with caring but not cleaning. The care is to help me with washing my hair, and getting DGD into the bath/bed and making sure that I have the wood in and those things that would be deemed hazardous if not done, with DGD here.
I will probably be getting help from Biggest of Mooloo's BF's Mum as a cleaner. As I just need help. Its too much for me to do more than the surface, but we will definitely need to get the decluttering finished before hand. So I will have to see if I can get someone to help me do that first.
I managed to see my doctor today, at last.
He was concerned at the loss of movement in my arm, and the neck, and has given me codine to add to the other medications that I am on. Meanwhile, and he is going to do accupuncture again, and manipulation when i get back of of my holiday next month.
I have cancelled collecting DS tonight. He is staying with the friends he stays with at the weekend, and that means I dont ahve to get up at 5.45 to be ready to drive him at 7am.
I have also cancelled going to see my boys. I dont think its fair on them incase DGD is still infectious, and she is still pretty grotty although a lot better. It will also give me a day off of driving and I can relax and hopefully get a little better, before I get on and do the packing! Eek, may need help with that.
I managed to get Twin1 to dry my hair this morning, and hopefully Biggest of Mooloo's is coming to see me tomorrow ngiht, and she will help do my hair dye. I dont want all my holiday snaps with a zebra stripe in my parting!!

Right, typing is killing me, so I am off the computer, for a while and going to do a bite to eat for DGD and myself and get her ready for bed before I collapse into my own.

Glad you got to see your own doctor at last and that DGD is feeling better by the sounds of things!

Yes it was good, as he knows me now.
He was concerned about my arm. Also on an aside asked me how I was doing with DGD, (who was playing at a table in his office), and I said it was about 10months now, and he said, mm, gosh yes it must be by now. He said she was coming on well. Well we all know that one.
She is begining to reckonise the written numbers and some of the letters of the alphabet now.

I am retiring off to bed now. She has gone down after a bath, and so I am going to take my extra medication and get some kip!
    I hope. :D

Well Ididnt actually go to bed until After Midsomer Murders in the end!
But when I took the tablets, they sent me a bit woosy, and I was asleep quite quickly, however I kept waking up every two or so hours, noed a weird dreams at the times, and then went back to sleep. But it has reduced the pain, but I wont be able to take them all the time, as prescribed, as I would be unable to function!.
As I cancelled all my plans for today, I aim to stay home, and try to care for myself for a change!.
I am still worried about getting my clothes ready to go away, but perhaps an easy day and I will be able to do more tomorrow.
    DGD is painting already.

Well I had a pleasant day. Molly came to see me, and so did Biggest of Mooloo's. She had a doctors appointment so had left work early. She did my hair dye etc for me ready to go to my holidays next week.
The medication that the doctor put me on, is quite potent and I am living in that "cottonwool" stage. There is still pain in my arm, but not as bad as it was.
I have been watching Inspector Morse and knitting a bit while DGD was asleep to start with. She has been painting today. and is now wearing more than went on the paper.! At least its water colour and should wash off.
Molly brought her a lovely present over, for her birthday, while we are away, and its kept her busy for a while today. I wont be able to take presents out with us, just her cards as we only have small cases.
I have managed to get the travel insurance for us sorted, and topped up my prepaid cashplus card, for emergencies.
I still havent got my euro's. But can do that when DGD goes to Biggest for the weekend.
I will hopefully manage to get some packing done. Maybe in the morning. As at the moment, I think she is not going to Stay and Play with her mum.
Saw a lovely little tutorial on making Luggage tags .http://www.skiptomylou.org/2009/11/09/fabric-luggage-tags/ and am going to see if my arm is going to be good enough to try to make them. Although I do not have the Freezer paper that they talk about to use on the label part. Think I may just have to write my details on it.!
Have lots of little pdf files for sewing things that when I come back I will be making when ever the arm can cope.!
My head is also struggling to deal with the things going around and around. Especially as its quite Woolly at the moment. (And thats only on half the prescribed doseage of my new medication!).

Well I am up and about. Feeling much better then earlier in the week thats for sure.
Biggest of Mooloo is going to have DGD for me this evening. So some respite and maybe a lie in in the morning.!
    DS is still in Town.
Twin1 cancelled stay and play with DGD today. So thats another let down. But I am not surprised. She is so single minded.

I managed to make a couple of those luggage tags, but better not put the photo of them on the computer or it will give away my address and the hotels!.
I actually thought outside of the box, and used the applique bonding paper/fabric to go through the printer and printed my details for the luggage tags, similar to the tutorial.
I am really chuffed that it worked.
Have a couple of them for DGD and my suitcases, made them last night when DGD had gone to bed/Was playing with her little kitchen after her bath.
I want to make a couple for BF's cases now. But they obviously need to be funky not floral like mine. So I will have to wade through the growing fabric remenants and see what I can make.
I managed to finish a pouffe that I started at the beginning of the week, Molly was impressed with the way I had used her duvet filling!. I also managed to make a couple of zip bags, called Pouches on the internet. But still have one to finish. That was also done in the evenings, slowly through the course of the week.
Once upon a time I could have churned them out in the dozens quite quickly. Ah well at least i can still make things, even if it is slowly.

Today, if DGD will let me get on, I will slowly start to sort my clothes. Her bag is mostly packed. So will be easy to finish off.
My list of things to do, is slowly getting done.
I have a check list for packing, printed off, and I have a last minute check list to do, as i leave the house, thats also printed off.
I am running the fridge down, and hope that all I need to buy is some bread, as I am not successful with the bread maker, alas. Used to make good bread when originally, but for some reason of late its been like lead. Will need to change my yeast probably.

    Right time to get dressed.

There has been a change of plan, and now that i am feeling better, I am going to go down to oxford. Taking what I have packed and what will go in the bigger case, and we will see what I will probably have to trim down! Ah well, bye bye some of the shoes I would think.

    Catch up on Sunday.

Well I am home, and DGD is also back.
I had a really good weekend, BF spoilt me somewhat. We had lunch out yesterday, with his daughter. Then in the afternoon, I went for a sleep, as the walking around town wa a little too much for me. Then in the evening he ran me a lovely hot bubbly bath, and brought me up a glass of wine.! Luxury.
Today I didnt do anything. We had a lie in, then we had bacon sandwiches for lunch. I watched the grandprix and then came home.
Biggest of Mooloo brought DGD back home about 20 minutes later. Alas she is still unwell, she now has a cough and a cold. I hope she gets over it quickly. She has a really raspy voice, bless her.
I too am now sniffing and sneezing! Typical. All we need now.!

We have our euro's sorted out. So I am more relaxed now. The bags are packed, and at BF's bar a few odds and ends. The passports etc, insurance policies etc all in a folder ready at his, then I cannot forget anything. Even have a weeks worth of my medication bagged up, and there.
    Roll on Wednesday!
I havent dared look at the weather in Portugal, but I think that now its horrible here, I can have a google.

Time I did us some dinner. Bit of pasta carbonara. (Out of a jar I am afraid!) Thats easy to do, and DGD will eat Pasta till the cows come home. (or around here the sheep!).
