Well went to see the twins, twin1 gave me a lovely necklace with "special Mum" on it, and a lovely card.
Missed twin2, they were not actually at home, dispite arrangeing to go. So will have to catch up with her tomorrow/over the weekend.
I have a beautiful handmade card by my mother, and a pretty card from my brother and his partner. So all in all a good day.

Unfortunately we are in the middle of a thunderstorm so its black and miserable. Time to put the lights on.

DGD and I have just sang happybirthday to me, and cut my lovely cake that Molly bought this morning. There is only the two of us, so we are now watching the Wiggles.!

    Happy birthday Mooloo.

The things on the stall look lovely. Have you thought of making little aprons for kids, maybe with their names on (they'd have to be done to order obviously). At a summer fair recently, I was dleighted to find a similar stall to yours where they had made peg bags and carrier bag holders (simply a rectangle of cloth with a handle on it) to stuff the bags into. Cheap to make and far better to use than anything else I've tried. And do kids still use pump bags for school?
It aint over til I've done singing....

    Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle
    Sew Pretty Home style
Sew fabulour fabric (this isnt a tilda but by the same printers).

lovely books, I am really dying to get and dip into them! Wish my health was better.
Only thing damping the day, apart from the thunderstorm is the stomach cramps that keep catching me short!

Looks like this latest video may become a firm favourite.

If I was to list all the things I have thought about there would be a long, long list.
I think the problem/good or bad, is that everything I make is using up things that are recyling, or sourced in a charity shop, so at the moment its difficult to say what I will make and when. However if I start to see things that will make the different ideas, and I have the funds to buy them, or if we have clothes etc that we can use then thats the way I want to go.
I love fabrics and would have the cottage overspilling if I was to buy more, and the last time I stocked my house, it took 2 or was it 3 van loads to the college when I thought I had given up sewing! :o

Ill health puts me off of taking on too much, and this week has proved it.
I havent managed to sew all week, and I have two outstanding orders and nothing new to put on the stall.
I have to hope that I will be well tomorrow, and that the SW do not keep me all day!.
I had thought I would sew tonight once DGD goes to bed, but to be honest I am exhausted, and cannot wait to go to bed myself!.

  • Happy Birthday Mooloo. Cake and wiggles sounds great. I love those bibs, such a simple idea and so lovely.
