There has got to be a better option hasn't there? Taking a families shopping on the bus isn't the answer though or areas poorly served by buses! Hello MrsE haven't 'seen' u for a while.0

Two or more trips? How many of you to carry the bags? Family of 4 could be 2 adults, assuming 2 parents?
For the record, I have some Tesco reusable bags. They are blue, with Tesco written in green and some frogs on? Without going to the kitchen to look.
I just forget to take them. I'm sure once I get into a routine, i'll be fine.0 -

I can't speak for your areas bus service.
Like I say, the car issue is a seperate one and I wish the law was more tough on those who use cars for small journeys.
I accept their are different factors - disability, age etc, but my point is, bags is a small thing here.
It's also debatable whether these reusable bags are environmentally friendly anyway.0 -

Hi:wave::wave::wave::wave:
DDs just on her way "op north" (Leeds) to look at a cat (she wants a kitten for her birthday).
Its a bi colour (red & white) exotic boy (14 weeks).
You wanna see a picture?0 -
I can't believe people have such a problem with taking their own bags. Fair enough sometimes you forget but if that happens to me i actually feel guilty asking for a bag! Just because the store provides them doesn't mean you have to use them if you've got a cupboard full at home  I shop at Tesco and regularly use my own bags, last mailing i had over 1200 green points, which converts to £48 worth of deals, not bad for a little bit of effort in taking my own bags and i've done my bit for the environment too0

Can anyone see it????
I can't, but I'm having problems with pics???0 -
Whilst this is true, whilst some shops still hand them out, I shall use those shops, then I shall shop online.
More important, is to get people to carry their shopping home, rather than rely on cars.
Cars should be for long distance and not less than a a mile or two. Public transport is there for that.
I feel that is an even bigger concern to our environment.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Our local (small) shops are ok for some stuff but a trip to the bigger shop such as Tesco is needed too (even our 'big' Tesco is a tiny one in comparison to mainland ones). This said I try to combine a trip to the supermarket with other things I need to go to town for (library, hair cuts etc). With a DS still in his buggy getting the bus is not worth the hassle with bags etc, but once he is older I would.
That's fine, wasn't having a go. At least you combine things with your shopping trip.
I'm not saying it's easy, far from it, but some people go everywhere in their cars, regardless of distance, which needs to be addressed more.
Loonytoons - when the Tesco staff remember to give green points. When I have remembered my bags, they are a !!!!!! for not giving the green points. I think if they fail, you should go to CS and get double points0 -

its not just the backpack that signifies a shoplifter, its they're appearence along with they're habits when in the shop, what section do they go straight to, are they always looking around to see if anyones watching them0
