thankyou_s.png Thank you everyone for the dodgy hugs, very kind words and love. It's really comforting. I'm avoiding telling my family the ins and outs as they will only worry, so it's good to get it all down here. The people on this thread never fail to support each other. Yay for us :T

    Whoo-Hooo!!

Just been accepted for a 0% card from Virgin to transfer my EGG balance :j:T (from a horrendous apr of 17.9%).
I'm delighted as I got turned down from the PO the other week and am surprised as I already have an MBNA card......
Who cares - I know it's a bit sad, but I'm so happy!!!! :money: :D :rotfl:
(Jst need to work out how the hell I'm gonna pay it off in 9 months now:confused:)

You can have more than one MBNA card I dont know if you know what your credit limit is on the new one but if it is not enough you can transfer any unused credit limit from one MBNA card to another how you are going to pay it off is another question but at least you have 9 months to plan.

Thats great news macgirl!! Now all of your extra payments will actually be going towards the debt rather than horrid interest!
Im slightly jealous as the HSBC debt OH and i have is in his name and he has appauling cradit rating so no chance of getting a balance transfer - the interest rate is 27% i think grrr!!

Could you get a card in your name and transfer it to that although of course that would mean it was your debt rather than Oh and you would be responsible for it. Although as you have just moved you would need to get on the electoral roll first before you apply.

    Thanks DT
I have a LOB of 5.9% on my MBNA card, but I read in Martin's CC section that they'd probably turn me down for another.....
Anyway, am going to throw everything at the EGG/Virgin in case I can't get another 0% when it ends....

Well yeah, didn't want to mention that part - we have expectant mothers watching!
How is "Wee Adam" by the way? He must be so cute now!

Actually Lilythepink hasn't posted for a couple of days - we have have another PAD baby soon!

He's doing fab, thank you for asking!

We thought he wouldn't need it but we ended up taking him to physio for his upper body muscles. Rolling onto his side at a couple of weeks seems to have weakened them slightly but he's been responding well, hoping he's going to hold his head up soon as he seems to be getting really frustrated only being able to do it for a few seconds at a time!

He can grab things and hold toys and his fixing and following is that of your typical 'normal' baby so he's doing me proud! :T
    Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
Aim for 2011 - pay off car loan £260.00 saved
