Hi all and hello to any newbies

Well done those who've paid off a card/passed their driving tests or lost weight :T:T

There was a Scottish painter named Smokey McGregor who was very interested in making a penny where he could, so he often thinned down his paint to make it go a wee bit further.

As it happened, he got away with this for some time, but eventually the Baptist Church decided to do a big restoration job on the outside of one of their biggest buildings..

Smokey put in a bid, and, because his price was so low, he got the job.

So he set about erecting the scaffolding and setting up the planks, and buying the paint and, yes, I am sorry to say, thinning it down with turpentine..

Well, Smokey was up on the scaffolding, painting away, the job nearly completed, when suddenly there was a horrendous clap of thunder, the sky opened, and the rain poured down washing the thinned paint from all over the church and knocking Smokey clear off the scaffold to land on the lawn among the gravestones, surrounded by telltale puddles of the thinned and useless paint..

Smokey was no fool. He knew this was a judgment from the Almighty, so he got down on his knees and cried:

"Oh, God, Oh God, forgive me; what should I do?"

And from the thunder, a mighty voice spoke..

"Repaint! Repaint! And thin no more!"

    Hi everyone

Bad news here - sorry but having just joined I'm gonna have to leave - you are a lovely bunch though, I may just lurk to keep up with all thats going on in the PAD world. My reason for leaving..... had to call in a debt management company. We've tried to avoid at all costs doing this, but tonight we've bitten the bullet and done it. We earn the most disgusting tiny amount that you can earn and have, over the years, got into quite a pickle so it was a LBM earlier on this week and having worked it all out we actually can't afford to eat from now on so something had to go. I wish I had found this site about 2 years ago cos we really would be singing a different tune now but there, what can you do. Good luck to everyone you are inspirational to others, keep up the good work.
