That's terrible Rachael!! I have no idea of the answer but it winds me up! I was getting calls for my sil a while back at my house. she doesn't live there anymore and apparently (and i tend to believe her over them) never gave that number to anyone anyway even when she did live there! they of course claimed they couldn't have the number if she hadn't given it to them but i reckon they must use quite underhanded tactics to get these numbers!

definitely send the snotty letter and make a big fuss!! they're out of order!

Did you send payplan the letter saying it had been handed over to triton? (I assume you did, just thought of it so thought i'd ask).

I'm sure it's triton being cr4p tho. it winds me up when they just keep saying 'we haven't received anything'!

Got onto payplan first thing monday and they said they can send them proof of payment so i rang triton for direct fax number and it turns out payplan had sent the payments to the wrong acc no though it was probably my fault as i must have gave it to them wrong, there was one digit out in it

so triton said to get payplan to fax them proof of payment to that account and the correct acc no it is to be allocated to and they will allocate the payments to that account, so hopefully its being sorted

    Afternoon you lovely lot...

    Hope you're all okay.

Quick random update from little old moi... first payment goes to CCCS on Friday... :T only 71 more to go!!

I've contacted Alliance and Leicester with a template letter suggesting that they repay my unlawful charges as I'm in financial distress.. if only i was joking :o they sent me the SOA sheets to fill in and I sent that back this morning...

Not heard a thing from any of my creditors.. thinking about adding Simply Be onto my DMP (good old JD Williams) but I've read horrendous things about them on this thread! I'd rather live on beans on toast and meet their minimums than be harrassed... to be honest I thought Lloyds TSB would be more of a pain than they are... unless they haven't got my notification of DMP  or they've just given in :rotfl:

It's really un debt free wannabe of me but I've had a two week all inclusive holiday booked now for over a year.... 21 days to go :T cannot wait. Anyone else going away?

    CA xx

    Hi

JD Williams where the first company to accept my DMP, In fact I heard from them almost instantly, they froze interest and have accepted my plan until my account is clear, I did only have a small balance of £220 though.

Oooh thank you :D there's hope then?! I did go a bit mad with new furniture for the house (still moving in after two years lol) and bed linen... it's not in four figures yet but could have been if it wasn't for the dmp... ;) will ring them later to tell them to stop increasing my credit limit

    Hi

I look forward to replies on this issue as your creditors are totally out of order, I would send the telephone harrasment letter and add to it that you did not supply the information and demand your numbers be removed from their system.
Get their numbers blocked from your landline by signing up for choose and refuse if you are a BT customer or a similar service if not, there is a number you can dial after a call to log it as Malicious, have a search online for it. Also there is some fantastic mobile phone software online such as advanced call manager that will let you block certain numbers from calling you.

My phone line is with Sky but I'm going to call them anyway. My numbers were actually changed due to harrassing calls (not just from my creditors), reported it to the police and so have a crime number to back me up. I'm pretty sure that when I spoke to Sky initially they said if I had any problems unwanted calls I was just to get back to them. I'm so angry about this, I can't believe they've managed to get my numbers especially my mobile. Definately some illegal activity going on here!
Do what you want because in the end people will judge you anyway.

I've been very careful not to give out my number, I just can't believe it! Is there a template letter going about that I can send? Not even sure where to send it to! Although I'm pretty sure after being rude to the lady last night on the phone I'll be receiving a nasty letter any day soon!

I've been thinking about this unwanted phone call lark and was wondering ... Why can't we just say "I'm sorry, you have the wrong number, this number has just been allocated to me, there is no-one of that name here, I am ex-directory."? I know they ask for our name and address, but my response is then "you called me, I don't have to give you that information, thank you for calling, have a nice day." They shouldn't be ringing us anyway.

    Hello ianmak and everyone
not posted yet but been reading them all for a while now.
Please could I have a number...I'll be here for a few years!
    Thanks

Afternoon all, just got back from a few days in Cornwall with the family (mum n stepdad, sister and hubby, and my nephew n niece). It was lovely (and cheap) but I feel like I need another break now away from then!

Welcome Hamstan. Your number is: 329

Please join in if you can!

Regarding phonecalls, RMA got hold of mine after I'd changed phone numbers, no idea how though. I don't particularly mind as I'm happy for them to have it, just haven't got round to letting them know the new one.

It is a concern as to how they got it though...

Hi IanMak welcome back, I'm glad you had a nice few days in Cornwall, I know what you mean about needing another holiday to get over that one ;) families do that to you :D

DMP update, I have received another acceptance today from Argos Card but they continue to add interest, which means another trip to the post office tomorrow with yet another letter asking them to reconsider their decision, I am now on first name terms with the staff
Basically my debt will keep growing if they wont stop or at least reduce the interest that they charge, which really does make the whole thing seem pointless at times. I won't give up just yet though ;) although an IVA or Bankruptcy will be considered at some point if I can't get the interest stopped.
It's still early days yet though, but at least they have accepted my DMP!
Although CCCS are organising my DMP and managing to get my creditors to accept reduced payments I am still keeping in touch with the creditors myself asking them to reconsider their decision regarding interest, after all you don't get until you ask.
