What a good day this is, have just got a statement from LPF (Littlewoods Personal Finance - Visa card),
    £0.00 Balance

(Reclaimed from them = £216.36 credited to the account then only had £30.73 left to pay so what the heck sent off payment)

This was about £1500 a year ago so wayhay

another creditor Paid Off - 7 down, only 13 to go now

This is getting quite addictive - seeing £0.00 balances is just so satisfying.

    :T

    Great stuff. Well done! :D

    Massive congratulations to you

It's really great for all of us newbies on here to see someone starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Out of curiosity, did they stop interest etc when the dmp was set up ?

I've only been on mine since 1st July so only had a letter from cap 1 accepting my dmp and issuing a default notice - a very kindly worded one at that.

    Nice one,
    Keep us posted

    Hi

Does anybody have any ideas whilst my payments to my creditors via Payplan only shows as some of them being paid and not all of them.

Do they tend to make payments in a couple of batches as 3 payments havent been made yet but the others have.

I would call my contact at Payplan but they are probably sick of hearing from me this week.

    Thanks for your help

I think it takes certain creditors different times to accept and cash the payments. mine are different dates too but payplan pay them the same date so i assume this is the case!

Yep il get onto payplan first thing monday morning and ask them to contact triton and explain they have sent payments and then resend authority and financial statement. Hopefully something will work out

Did you send payplan the letter saying it had been handed over to triton? (I assume you did, just thought of it so thought i'd ask).

I'm sure it's triton being cr4p tho. it winds me up when they just keep saying 'we haven't received anything'!

    Hi all

    quick q

my first dmp payment is 1 aug - i think i've read on here (somewhere!) that cccs don't like you making interim payments?/

We received our ppi monies from N/Rock today (3k - i lurve looking at my bank a/c!!!)

BUT i want to pay each of my creditors a share before the dmp starts? is that allowed?

Its all gone very quiet on the creditor front - apart from the lovely default notices - i have had no phone calls in 2 weeks - how worried should we be????!!!!!

    Hi

If the DMP hasn't started yet I think it is ok to make additional payments, it may be worth settling any smaller dreditors (should say creditors but I quite like the word dreditors lol ) in full if thats possible, that way you have less creditors to deal with and the rest can have a larger monthly payment. Wait for an expert to give you some advice just in case I am wrong though ;)

    Hi all,

I haven't posted in a little while but am still on here on a daily basis. There hasn't been any update to my self-managed DMP recently - I am still waiting on acceptance from Barclaycard (seems little chance of them accepting at the moment!), Capital One (they are wanting a bank statement which I am uncomfortable sending and don't feel they should really require - anyone else uncomfortable sending a bank statement? I just don't like the idea of them going through every transaction with a fine toothcomb!) and HSBC who have said they wont accept my DMP but have since gone suspiciously quiet..... Mmm, calm before the storm I fear

Anyway, that's about it at the moment....... still living on tenderhooks and worry about the situation every day. Mind you, I am probably not as bad as I was 3 months ago when I posted off my token payments! Can't believe these 3 months have gone so quickly - lets hope the next 27 years does too then!! :D

Hope you're all doing ok..... x

    Hi folks,

I haven't been on here for quite a while now, had some family issues to deal with.

Anyway, finally started my DMP with CCCS and my creditors should be receiving their first payments at the end of this month. I felt pretty good about this until a few phone calls I received today. First of all, I had both my landline and mobile phone numbers changed about a month ago and I'm listed on the TPS site for both numbers and I also opted out for that new mobile phone register. I haven't given my numbers out to any companies especially not my creditors so I was suprised to receive 2 calls from Lloyds TSB on both my landline and mobile. I didn't answer my landline as I obviously didn't recognise the number so I googled it! Turns out to be their collection centre, what a suprise! And then they called my mobile, by such time I was quite furious that they'd got that number so I answered. I asked who was calling and how they got this number, to which she replied, you gave it to us! I said I recently had my numbers changed and I hadn't given them to anyone and asked her again where she got the numbers from and told her to remove any contact numbers they had for me from their system to which she told me she couldn't possibly do. I got pretty angry at that point and told her to delete my number or this will become a police matter and hang up. I really need to get to grips with my anger issues :)

Anyway, what I wanted to know was how the hell did they get my number?
Do what you want because in the end people will judge you anyway.

    Hi

I look forward to replies on this issue as your creditors are totally out of order, I would send the telephone harrasment letter and add to it that you did not supply the information and demand your numbers be removed from their system.
Get their numbers blocked from your landline by signing up for choose and refuse if you are a BT customer or a similar service if not, there is a number you can dial after a call to log it as Malicious, have a search online for it. Also there is some fantastic mobile phone software online such as advanced call manager that will let you block certain numbers from calling you.
