Hey all, not been on for a while due to there only being 24 hours in the day ... anyone found a way to shift temporal space/time and add a few more hours in? I could do with them!

Things are fairly quiet for me creditor-wise at the moment (although did just have a renewed spate of phone calls from Lloyds credit card last week, goodness knows why as they haven't called for a few months. I just ignored the phone, call screening is such a wonderful thing :D ), but I still have NatWest adding £24 in charges as well as interest every month for my credit card with them so that particular debt is going to be a long time paying off I think! And Lloyds are still charging interest for loan, credit card and overdraft :( so I know how you all feel when you feel it's an uphill climb!

Anyway, I'm after a bit of advice please. Having met a wonderful fella 4 months ago (well ok, I've known him several years, but we just "got it together"), he's asked me to move in with him. No problems there, but I don't know how it's going to affect my DMP, or his credit rating. I'm renting my place at the moment, he owns his own house, and obviously I will be contributing towards the mortgage etc, but is anyone on here who's done this and what effect did it have on your DMP? I guess it's going to hit my Child Tax credit to the tune of £40-odd lost a month :( as I presume even though my partner won't be paying for my wee daughter's nursery fees etc I will be expected to take his salary into account as far as Her Majesty's Govt are concerned, but what else effect will it have on my DMP, anyone know??

(My DMP is with CCCS btw, started Nov '08 and due to finish in 5 years' time)

    cheers

OK I've done it - Sent off letters to current Bank for charges was shocked when I added on the interest etc came to just over £381. Would be fab if they refund that amount into my bank account. Our youngest daughter starts school in September, and you know how expensive school uniforms cost.

Also sent off claims for RBS x 2 credit cards, they are in my DMP so anyting they refund will go directly off the debt.

    Fingers Crossed.

Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere but can someone please tell me how you know what your DMP start date is? Am sending my notification of DMP letters to my creditors tomorrow but don't know what to fill in! I need to send them in the morning as I will be away for a week and some of my cancelled direct debits are due next week...

Anyone know what I should fill in?

    Thanks

I would imagine it would be 1st August you will make your first payment to which payments will be issued around the 25th August to creditors. This is based on you being with CCCS, not sure about Payplan but from what posts I have read here I think they are similar dates.

Yes I'm with CCCS so will put 1 August. Thanks for your help - can't wait to get this all up and running but think I will have a lot more questions before then!
