My latest statement shows £0 against Marbles - I've spoken to CCCS and they seem to be having some problems with them - I think Marbles have said the Account Number is wrong, having checked my statement the number is correct.

I've spoken to CCCS and they said the same thing to me, the account number is correct though and last months payment was sent ok  They said they would make a double payment in July.

I've also spoken to Marbles and explained the situation - I got the most unhelpful person ever, it wasn't part of her script so she didn't know how to deal with it  She's made a note on my account but said a missing payment would break my agreement with them, even though it seems to be a problem at their end with accepting the payment.

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend, just to let you know HSBC have sent a letter advising they have agreed to our self DMP and reduced to 0% interest. So only NR and MBNA to hear from now as everyone else has agreed. Natwest wont agree anything until they default us, which is a delay tactic as they have advised will contiune to charge interest until this happens  but at least they arent hounding us.

    Part of the Furniture

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is still feeling positive and getting a good night’s sleep after entering their DMP.

Thought I would give you a little update as I’m now due to make my 4th (doesn’t time fly!) payment to CCCS on Wednesday. Everything seems to be going fine and I don’t get many calls from creditors at all now which just reinforces the fact that things do eventually settle down.

On Saturday I received a letter from Albion telling me that my debt had been passed to them and that I now needed to make immediate payment of £6,664.26 (yep, I’ll do that won’t I? lol):D.

First thing I did was to research on here and found out that Albion is actually part of Halifax who the loan is with. I rang them from work today (switchboard numbers are withheld) and the guy couldn’t be more laid back if he tried! :j I was so surprised and had braced myself for a full on argument with them so, in a way, I was a bit disappointed. :rotfl: Anyway he said to just keep in contact and let them know if I can up the offer by £10 as that would stop all the letters etc as I’m not currently making the minimum payment they require. Anyhoo he then asked me to confirm that my mobile number ended in 0000, I said yes (wasn’t going to give him my real number!) :A

So sometimes it is worth taking the plunge and giving them a call as things aren’t as bad as we all imagine it will be.:T

  • Hi

Hope everyone is doing OK with the DMPs.

Our first payment went on 1st June, so glad things have happened at last. Feel much more in control with money, which is a first for me.

My daughter (aged 11) answered an 0800 or 0845 number on Saturday. Oh my word, she was questioned as to where I was, how long would I be, what time should she call back, what was her name, was my husband there, what my work number was, my mobile number and 20 other questions!

I hope now they have had their first payment the phone will stop ringing.

Good luck to everyone, especially those starting 1st July.

Good day all. saskia lovely to hear you've had a nice break, and that there wasn't too much to worry about upon your return home : ) stolli, thats great to hear too, it's always nice to hear form someone who's up and running, it gives you that feeling that things will be alrgith in the end. just one question from me today, received my statement from Natwest cc which has my token payment on as received, but it states amount overdue and amount ot pay! I'm a little confised as I had al tter from them about my loan which stated they had accepted reduced payments and would stop all charges, doesn't seem to be the case with my cc though! surely this is just because they haven't got round to sorting it out yet, or does this mean they will keep charging interest every month/ advice much appreciated.

On one of my hubbies CC he has been accepted but on his recent statement he too has been charged interest and demanding a higher payment, I guess it just takes time to set up properly. Only thing I can suggest is to ring and query it? xx

    Hi All,
Just been directed here by "leese2504" about setting up my own DMP. I've done the CCCS remedy and budget and a DMP is the way forward. I think I'd like to run it myself as i dont really want the ties of a basic bank account with no debit card or cheque book. Also some debt is 0% interest at the moment.

I'm up for this challange, as long as it isnt to much of a disadvantage with dealing personally with creditors. What i mean by this is do the creditors deal with the CCCS better than an individual .

Anyway i'm new to all this, so any advice would be great
