  • We are too (under 1%) so looks like there are a few of us in the same boat. Got a letter today from next accepting cccs payment offer but enclosing a new credit agreement for me to sign :(???!!! Hmmm, not sure what to do, has anybody else had this? Also a couple adjusting payment to cccs amount but still adding charges and wanting payments on a specific date which falls before dmp payment (next included) and saying no further action if payments received by due date??? This won't work but have already had the argument with nationwide who would'nt budge, cccs said they will pay them as offered anyway and not to bother arguing with them :silenced: but i don't want it to fail before it starts

  • hi Guys got a question-
I've been on a DMP with Payplan for a year now- and have consistently made my monthly payments. They have just done an annual review- and today I got a letter from M&S saying they needed me to contact them about the debt or they will issue a CCJ/go to a collection agency etc.

I was under the-probably naive-impression, that if you make regular payments a CCJ is a waste of time on their part.

So-is their letter just standard "let's put some pressure on again"? I thought everything had settled down now!!

    thanks

  • Hi everyone, and welcome to all those who joined recently :)

Sorry to bump from previously - I'm going to be getting a sum of money in a few weeks and am deciding what to do -

Firstly how would Payplan be with the idea of me offering F & F's to get rid of a couple of creditors part way through a DMP?

And secondly if I decided to use the money instead as a one-off payment to Payplan, but kept a bit back for emergencies, would they find out?

I'd just like to be clearer about this before taking the next step, if anyone has any thoughts/advice I'd be really grateful!

    Thank you kindly! YP x

PP get very twitchy about F&Fs to one or two creditors only, and for good reason I guess. As for one offs, they'll get distributed evenly between creditors. Don't think they'll care about any kept behind.

  • Hello everyone,

I've had a DMP since the summer and made all payments but I got a letter from Halifax today saying they're sending someone to my house on 23 February. I'm so worried, has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, I had something similar but the wording was something like 'a representative will call on the .....' can't remember the exact wording but when I first read it it sounded like they where sending someone round as they were ringing daily anyway, But I think they just meant someone was going to ring and they where trying to scare me into paying up by the phrase they used. Whatever they meant no-one turned up.

Does it actually say a person is physically coming to your house?
