Begorra and it's thankful we are to be sure! Perhaps it's the magical influence of the leprechaun (or the Guiness) you'll be having there?

Hey wee woman, you sound a lot brighter, I'm pleased to hear!
Although I'm from Northern Ireland, we share lots of sayings and family ideals with our southern sisters and brothers. Contrary to popular belief, we all have a lot more in common than people might think, which is why our family has holidayed in the beautiful place that is Donegal for years. Check out Imagineireland.com. for the gorgeous views and brilliant places to stay with local people so friendly, you won't want to go home!! :j
Honestly, I'm not supported by the Irish Tourist Board:rotfl::j:hello::hello::jDMP mutual support thread member 3480 -
newbeginning - in same position as you, full current a/c with A&L which I have kept with no problems, I had no overdraft anyway but they've been fine with me keeping my Visa Debit and cheque book. I have no debts with Abbey (had a store card with Santander cards but they havent been anywhere near my current account) and when I told A&L about my DMP they were fine about it as I have no credit facilities - in fact they didnt really seem too bothered about it as I dont owe them anything!*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

I believe you when you say about protecting us from the Atlantic - I spent a week in Bundoran many moons ago (An ex's family were originally from there). The people were lovely (The owner of the B&B we stayed in kept offering to give us lifts into town!), but it was the middle of August, and it might as well have been the middle of winter it was so cold and wet and windy...DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

That's right! We go at the end of June, to stay at a friends holiday home, and you might as well be packing for a skiing holiday :rotfl:
I don't know why the Irish are so religious, we are all far too cold and damp to burn in the fires of Hell...
Ps. It's nearly time to see December payments on Justabank!!! WooHoo!:j:hello::hello::jDMP mutual support thread member 3480 -
Morning All
I have a quick question re a LLOYDS Enforcement Notice I received yesterday asking for the outstanding balance.
I am currently in a DMP with a fee charging company, but I have been accepted by CCCS(had phone appt with them on fri) so I have cancelled the payment to the fee charging one.
Should I ask CCCS for advice or the other one
Thanks

Hi Twitty,
I also find myself up to my ears in debt after the collapse of a 23 year relationship so if you find a millionaire can you see if he has a mate and send him round here!!!
My DMP is starting in December and I have one acceptance so far 3 more to go so lets hope they all want to play fair

My heart goes out to you-I seem to have spent a lifetime helping to support others and just got landed with the cr*p.
It's difficult enough trying to cope with all the financial stuff on it's own but I'm sure your emotional state must be even more fragile than my own. We are so vulnerable at the moment with our see-sawing emotions and the fear and pain we are feeling.
Hold on and take each day at a time. Look to even the tiniest moment of relief and pleasure as a sucess to rebuilding you as a person.
As to the money stuff, you might find your creditors make big, threatening noises and default you but keep in mind what they really want is some money back-even if in a reduced amount.
Welcome to the club - keep posting - I'm feeling your pain as well as my own so big hugs to you.
As to millonaires I've been here longer than you so I get first pickbut I might let you have a lesser one as it's coming up to Christmas :xmassmile

Hi
Not an expert but I would talk to CCCS. You have cancelled your fee-paying arrangement (a brilliant move to make!) and are moving to CCCS.
They are always busy and although I phone them very rarely they are always helpful.
You will now be able to pay more towards your DMP and less in fees to a company who probably spent a fortune on TV/newspaper advertising to draw vulnerable people in - and yes that was your money they were spending.
Good luck-hope you get things sorted.
