  • Hello! It's been very quiet the last few days, where is everyone?

Just a quick question from me I paid my DMP this morning (standing order) somewhat daftly before I checked the statement - the statement is dated 25th Nov and says next payment due Jan 1st 2010....why was the payment not due Dec 1st? Did I just pay when I didn't need to?! Or do they just date it strangely? Would someone else mind checking their statement to see if it is the same?

    Hi little miss
If your DMP is with payplan then it read the same as mine,I double checked and saw the cover my payments payment has already gone to them and the DMP payment has come out my bank and it shows on the justabank statement.I am guessing they are updating the website,to be fair they are a bit rubbish updating that, but I certain it is fine

Thank you, I'm with CCCS though. I don't think they can have updated it already as received for this month because although the money left my bank today because it's Standing Order so takes a couple of days for them to get it!

I hate it when people moan that it's cold. It's winter !!!!!!! And it's good for you. Summer's Summer, Winter's Winter (though for how much longer I don't know).

I don't mind people saying this so much (probably because I myself do once in a while) but what I do hate is those very same people then moaning it's too hot in summer!

    Hi all,

I've been AWOL for a while and just about caught up. I was off sick most of last week (nothing major, not swine flu, throat infection I think) and never seem to get the chance to check on here, what with jeremy Kyle, trisha and Maury, when I'm not at work! ;)

LMS well done about your job, and very sorry to hear about your cat! So sad, I've got 3 and they don't go out much but even then, I wish they didn't go out at all so they'd be safe!

Twitty, hope you're doing ok. Sounds like you've been having a rough time of it. as your mum said, i'm sure he wasn't good enough for you anyway!

no news from me on the DMP front, altho I bought my first xmas pressies yesterday and will be buying some more tomorrow and am quite pleased at how my budgeting is holding up! Feeling pretty proud of myself!

Also my gas and electric bills arrears are now paid off and the bills have gone down, as has my water bill. I'll be having my DMP review I assume next month so I'm hoping my DFD will come down too!:T

Hope you're all doing well. I love that this little thread is so helpful (on the DMP front) but also that it's so supportive and friendly for the other things life throws at us too!

I think it takes a few days to clear so doesn't show up straight away. that's what i've always assumed anoyway coz pp shows the same.

Thanks Daffykjs - trying so hard to be positive and go out and about. I know in time I'll move on but it's tough at the moment.
Great to have your update. Well done you on the both the pressie and DFD front!
Hope you're feeling better now. There something awfully addictive about day-time TV isn't there? (only watched when off sick with my slipped disc - honest!) Bit like looking at a gossip mag when you know you should be reading an improving book! :o
Hope all goes well with your review.

just to say I sent my DMP notifications of last week and have made £1 token payments but still not heard anything from any creditors!

I'm waiting for the 'harrassing' to commence.

Will update (along with blog) when I here more.

    Cheers,

    Hi all,

I remember seeing a letter somewhere (may have been on MSE site or on another) requesting that a company remove your telephone numbers from their system under a clause in the Data Protection act?

Apparently you can (if I'm remembering correctly) tell them that you no longer give them permission to store/process your phone numbers?

Has anyone heard of this before? I just thought it might help a lot of people who are 'harassed' by telephone?

I'm desperately looking for the letter and will update if and when I find it!!!!

    Cheers,

Finally got something in the post for our Abbey loan, so I can now send them the creditor letter and £1 token payment. Yeesh! They had taken down all the addresses from their website last month and replaced them with phone numbers, citing the postal problems, telling people to call instead of writing. Which I absolutely did not want to do!

  • Hi all

Just about to send creditors the notification of DMP letter along with token payment, I'm pretty sure I've seen somewhere that this needs to be sent as a Postal Order.
Can someone confirm this for me, or am I ok to send cheques?
    Thanks in advance
