We sent ours as a postal order, just to be safe. I think some have sent cheques.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

I sent Postal Orders too, but only because I don't have a cheque book.
Here's my little drama for today:
I had forgetten which paperwork I needed to take to my Sainsburys induction so I called the recruitment line and they told me what I needed then confirmed my induction time as tonight and tomorrow 5.30pm-10.30pm.....I was like...EH!!! I was told it was on Sat 5th 9am-6pm! She checked the records and said it had been changed and she was very sorry that no one got in touch to let me know!
I woulda turned up on Saturday like a total plank! So...it turns out my induction is in fact tonight and tomorrow 5.30-10.30. Whats the bets I'll turn up there tonight and they'll say It's on Saturday
It could only happen to me!
Tonight is better for me anyway, as now I can still spend Saturday with my kiddies. I'm a little Sad I won't be home tonight to put the girls bed (first time ever!) but I'm sure Daddy will be fine. It's my youngest that worries me because every night she asks for "soft ones" (little kisses, one on each cheek) and I won't be here to give her them! Daddy will give her extra I'm sure. Must not dwell on it! It's in the kids best interests if mummy earns some pennies anyway, so I shall just tell myself that.
No news on the DMP front. MBNA sent me an arrears notice yesterday for some reason, no idea why - we've been in arrears for months.I'm 26, been with my OH for 8 years - we have 3 beautiful daughters and no debt collector can ever touch our family.LBM: 03/10/09 Unsecured Debts: 69K  DMP Start Date 01/11/2009.0 -
Received my welcome pack from the CCCS yesterday and on it it said my DMP is due to start January not December so I phoned them this morning and yes I start in January!!! They told me December last week. I'm not sure why I cant have a December start as there is still plenty of time I would have thought. I think the person I spoke to last week was new as I got the impression he wasnt quite sure about things. So now I have got to write out to all my creditors again and send token payments for December:mad:. I really thought it was sorted
So what do I do now??? I have the money saved for this months CCCS payment. Should I split it between my creditors or send them a £1 each and then put the rest of the money towards Christmas or save it for an emergency, or treat me and the OH in the New Year?? Not sure at the moment, what would you all do? LBM 23-10-2009 - Total unsecured debt £39,638.65 _pale_

GUESS WHAT BAILEY?
Why am I shouting????!!!!:D (didnt notice lol)
I got my welcome pack today and mine is also.......a 1st Jan start!!!!!
So, like we said before, it was obviously meant to be! I am a bit relieved as it was going to be very difficult to make a payment this month as our council want the arrears and they want it now((.
I also now have to make all the token payments again to our 13 creditors yawn!
Anyway, I reckon it is all for the best, 1st Jan, new year, new start.
Now, what to do with bit of spare cash........it's been a long time since I had some spare so I think I need to think about it in case I suggest the wrong thing!Maybe keep it for the DMP so you are always a month in front, if you see what I mean? See what the other friends here say.
LMS.....OMG!!! So you are starting tonight!!!
All the best with that, let us know how you get on!
As for 'soft ones', my little one says exactly the same thing. I am sure she will be fine.......it's us who get upset. I have that when I have to leave 3 mornings a week to go to work really early and shes still sleeping....she likes me to get her breakfast and take her to nursery...I cried a bit for the first few days! Felt so bad!
Hope everyone else is ok!

Just a speedy post from me as I need to head out for my induction in 15 mins.
NorthStar and Bailey, just have a wee bit luxury over xmas with your DMP payment for Dec - sod it! Your creditors will just have to take a token payment for one more month, ity's not the end of the world.
I know Sophie will be fine without her soft ones, I'll sneak in and give her some when she is asleep after I get home!
Myabe they're making you a Jan 1st start because payments are being made to creditors earlier in December because of the holidays, so there maybe just wasn't enough time.
Well after speaking too soon and saying calls to us had stopped I looked at mobile and had 2 texts both saying to call Roxburghe urgently. Erm....No. They haven't phoned, or written a letter so it can't be that urgent really. They wrote and accepted their lower payment through CCCS about 2 weeks ago though, so I'm baffled about why the sent the texts. I did start to worry they hadn't got it, but everyone else on the DMP has and I checked the account numbers matched on CCCS website and a letter from them, so I really don't know. I refuse to talk to them though, the're evil. :rotfl:I'm 26, been with my OH for 8 years - we have 3 beautiful daughters and no debt collector can ever touch our family.LBM: 03/10/09 Unsecured Debts: 69K  DMP Start Date 01/11/2009.0 -
Hi everyone, What was I saying about things starting to calm down?
OH took call from Halifax last night, they want the payment we only 'token' paid in September! He told them that not only are we on a DMP but they are getting MORE money than usual. They said, of course, that they know nothing (ain't that the truth!) even though they are 'accepted' on Justabank. I hate when these companies call you the first few days into the month, trying to grab what little you have left. Lucky that in the early days I kept a note beside the phone with Payplans creditor phone no. and our ref. so thats what they got!!
Also got my Mint statement and they have added more interest on, and we haven't even got a reply when we queried last months, even enclosing a copy of their 0% letter. I could kill dead things today! Sorry just need a rant, is there no end to all the hassle?

Just about to send creditors the notification of DMP letter along with token payment, I'm pretty sure I've seen somewhere that this needs to be sent as a Postal Order.
Can someone confirm this for me, or am I ok to send cheques?
Thanks in advance
Cheques are OK - just put a squiggle....how many banks check signatures nowadays!0
