Hi
I've spent ages lurking round here and have finally decided to bite the bullet and go with a DMP with CCCS.
I received my letter from them today and with this there's the form to copy and send to creditors, do I send my token payments with this or does that come later?
Also despite reading almost everything on here I'm still feeling nervous, what if the creditors don't agree - the largest creditor I have is Halifax (around £13k), whats the worst that could happen??
Thanks in advance x0 -

You've done the hard bit now so well done for that. As far as I can remember you send the token payment with the letter.
The worst that can happen usually doesn't in my opinion;)
You are tackling the problem now and whether they agree or not is often immaterial, remember the DMP mantra "they can't have what you haven't got"
Carry on as you are and you won't go far wrong.
Just remember if Helifax phone up and ask for their £13k to be sent like yesterday, not to give them the stash you were keeping down the back of the couch for just that occasion:rotfl:DMP Support Thread Member 238DMP started October 20080 -
Hey Newbeginning and welcome,
Our DMP is with Payplan, but I have had dealings with Halifax. It was a loan of less than a year old, so they put on all the interest we owed them (nearly 6k on a 30k amount) right at the start, however they have accepted the DMP and have received 2 payments now, so in that respect, it's been ok. They did ring us a few times during the early days but that's stopped now. Hope that helps to put your mind at rest. Good for you, you won't look back from this decision.
I'm sure others, more clued up than me, can help with the token payments question.
All the best,

Hey LMS, So glad you decided not to approach the Visa Dept. (it's in Scotland - RBS!!) I was so sorry to hear about your wee cat, I have pets and it has you in the horrors when anything like this happens. Hope things are finally looking up for you.
I must say I was glad to hear Kudox was talking about conjuring money from the back of her sofa again today, when I first heard that I was laughing my head off, just at the start of our DMP. It's as if they actually expect you do do that...:j:hello::hello::jDMP mutual support thread member 3480 -

Not just tue of DMPs but of life. Not been around much recently cos struggling with great emotional as well as financial pressures.
Thought I was in a warm. loving relationship of 3 years until a week ago when it ended suddenly with no hint of any problems or troubles. Just pole-axed; can't eat, sleep - just trying to make sense of it all, so I can eventually accept and move on, but crying inside now.
On the financial front got 1st review with CCCS next week. Must sort the paperwork and get my head round it!
Well done LMS and hope all is going OK for everyone else.
Sorry to be maudlin but feeling the pain at the moment.

Aw, Twitty, I'm so sorry to hear that, poor you, not a word to anyone!
You are probably doing the right thing and crying, trying to wrap your head round it. Do you think that your becoming so much stronger recently has brought a lot of things up? I thought as your posts developed, you became more determined to sort everything out. Perhaps that particular relationship needed sorting out as well, and he bolted before facing up to supporting, or helping you. I might well be wrong, but that has happened to me albeit a long time ago. I have a big list of Irish sayings but I won't bore you with them chick! Just keep strong and we are ALL here for you x
