  • I have just had an e-mail from Sainsburys saying I passed the online test and have got an interview to be a Counter Assistant on Monday at 4pm! :j:T:j I failed the test 4 times before so I was so excited I passed this time! Now just the interview to get through, which includes another DVD test, oh dear! :o Getting this job would help us hugely financially though. It's for 3 evenings a week Wed, Thur and Sat 6.30pm-10.30pm so since OH finishes work at 5pm we could all have tea together before I went to work and he'd only have to put them to bed. So no childcare costs! At 12 hours a week the money won't be huge, but every little helps. Plus I would hope there might be scope to increase the hours in future. I have to get the job first though :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Hello everyone!

I've not been on for a week or so but thought I'd drop in and see how everyone is doing? I've had two more letters of acceptance for my DMP so it currently stands at:

    Nationwide CC: Accepted.
    Tesco CC: Accepted
    Cabot (Egg Loan): Accepted.
    Coventry (Loan): Accepted.
    NR Loan: Not heard anything.

Although I haven't had an acceptance from NR I haven't had any more letters demanding money either, and no phone calls - so it seems they have accepted and just haven't said. So, for now, it's all ticking along nicely. I only made my 1st payment to my DMP on the 1st Nov, so I'm amazed at how quickly it's made such a big difference. I haven't had a single call or demanding letter in almost 2 weeks. I still look at my mobile dreading missed calls but I never have any :rotfl:

How goes everyone elses DMP? :D

    Hey little miss!

its funny how you have heard nothing from NR and they were the first in contact with me! they have agreed to the reduced payments but as i sent them a token payment this month they said thats not good enough and want the agreed amount when it was stated in my DMP letters that they would get it in Dec! faxed my letters to my Debt folk and see what they say!

Lloyds are my biggest creditors and have heard nothing but at least they have stopped ringing me!!

    LBM - September 09 :T
    DMP start - November 09
    Total Debt - £42K

Yeah I've seen a few people saying NR constacted them quickly, it is weird! They can't be that upset with the offer though, as they haven't outright refused and they haven't sent me any demands or called me at all. So, unless I hear otherwise, I will assume they will take what they are getting and like it! My Nationwide CC was my biggest worry - as although they are one of my smallest creditors they went from getting £124 per month and are now getting....wait for it.....£5.74 per month! I was certain they'd laugh in my face But they wrote and accepted, I was amazed! :rotfl:

    Hi all
just thought I'd drop in, been on my plan for a few months now and have reduced my payments due to OH unemployment. CCCS are good, don't know about the creditors yet, waiting for some S***t phonecalls etc.

I was just thinking, we are a small proportion of the country on this , makes you wonder exactly how many people in the Uk are having the same problems as us!!!! Quite terrifying.... any way.... Good luck to you all. and don't worry.

Keeping everything crossed for you on the job front, just keep saying to yourself "the job is mine" and it will be. Good luck :A

  • Well things were bad this morning.....

And for the 1st time in 10 months I had to use my RBS GOLD mastercard for an emergency..........

I used it to scrape the ice off the windscreen from my car. :D:D:D

So in true MS style I won't be replacing my now lost windscreen scraper and have a choice of 3 MBNA cards, a Tesco CC and the aforementioned RBS card for my windscreen scraping activities. :rotfl::rotfl:

Hope you all have a good day

    Hi All,

Basically just after a bit of direction really.
I went through all the preliminary chats with payplan only to be told there was nothing they could do for us until I was either on benefits or had found a new job as we didnt have £100 spare per month to make offers.

I was devastated to be fair as I really thought they would be able to help me, and then I basically got nothing, no advice whatsoever.

Can anyone advise me on how to go about potentially setting up my own dmp with my creditors.
I've got 5 creditors, and the debt roughly totals £12,000. I've got no job, am recently pregnant so getting a new job is going to be difficult, we're soon to be moving and relocating to the other end of the country and living with my sister, for a couple of months and then my parents have kindly offered to buy a house which we will then rent from them.....

Im at a total loss as to what to do......and any help greatly appreciated
