  • Back with another quick Q, roughly how long does it take them (CCCS) to set up the DMP from the day I send away my statements and letters? When should I expect to receive my welcome pack? I'm desperate to get it all in writing and confirmed! I've never been so keen to pay anything in my life :rotfl:
I'm 26, been with my OH for 8 years - we have 3 beautiful daughters and no debt collector can ever touch our family.
LBM: 03/10/09 Unsecured Debts: 69K  DMP Start Date 01/11/2009.

So long as you have provided everything they need, you can get it set up quite quickly - mine only took about 10 days from filling in the original details online.

I think the paperwork came through in about 3 days but the paperwork from them after I'd send the statements etc back got held up in the post so it may be worth 'phoning them for an update if you haven't heard from them soon.

Yeah it was exactly 3 days ago I filled in all the info online, and the initial stuff arrived today. I'm hoping and praying it will all be set up to send my first payment on November 1st, but I guess it all depends on when my welcome pack arrives. I will be dreading the post (for DCAs) and praying for it at the same time lol.

    Hi all

Hope you're well. I've been on a DMP for about 4 months now through CCCS and have 4 creditors, 1 store card, 2 CCs and an overdraft. The 2 CCs I have heard from and the store card too but I don't seem to hear much from CCCS and when I called them they don't have much info on what's happening with the creditors. Don't get me wrong, not unhappy with CCCS as such, just thinking that I might aswell just take over the dealings with the creditors myself. Is it easy to cancel your arrangement with CCCS and if so, are the creditors normally ok with you dealing with them yourself in peoples' experiences?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

We just told them we were not happy with the service provided by our current bank. Charges and customer service.
We changed from A & L back to HSBC, so we also had the excuse that we needed a highstreet bank and not one that was in Liverpool !!! ...

We were origionally were given a Solo card with the account, but after 3 months of credit in the account, were upgraded to Switch ( now Visa Debit ). This was important to us as many Pay at Pump service stations donot take Solo.

If asked, you donot have to tell them .. its only for their market research ... You were not happy .. End of Story.

I think you'll be fine for 1st Nov start. If you're sending your stuff off today to them (copy statements, proof of income) it may be worth sending a covering letter saying you'd like to start on 1st Nov if poss. I would call them in a week if you haven't heard as it may just be a delay in the post.

I'm no expert though - only started mine last month!!
