Hi all, hi rayday - how's things with you these days?
I just wanted to say my debts are now under £25k. Well I know to most people that will still sound huge but they were about £40kSo to me it's a relief its going firmly in the right direction
Hi - I was asking a cheeky monkey if you were still around
That is cracking very nearly the half way mark
I think I will drop below the 14k mark next month - fairy steps mine are. But always in the down direction.0 -
Hi ym - how's life over on the bankruptcy board then?
Is life better now you don't have to worry about your debts? Or is post-bankruptcy as difficult as some make out?
Hi ray, I've been missing for a bit - been having a bad time dealing with the death of my dad - but think I'm getting back to where I was now. Fairy steps are still good - can't wait till mine gets below the 15k mark.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Life during BR is not toooo bad. Had a payrise which means I have to submit a new I/E to see if I have a surplus and if I do I will have to pay a certain % of it for 3 years. Just waiting to hear
Sorry to hear about your Dad.
Take care and well done on the debt reduction

Well a % of your pay rise for 3 years is still better than all the debt you had innit?
Hope you have to pay very little (or nothing)
I know it took you along while to come to the br decision, glad things seem to be ok for you.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Sorry to hear about your Dad. If only life was as controllable as debts - be so much easier.0 -
Well, I'm trying to make this a bit fun, and I'm enjoying speaking to some of the morons that are ringing me up, such as the woman who was calling "on behalf of Halifax" that I said "I'll speak to the Halifax about my account, but I don't have to speak to you" to. She tried to assure me that she was indeed from the Halifax, so I told her to write to me. Then there's the idiot from Argos Store Card saying "we don't want to issue a default notice" and I'm saying "Oh, please do".
I am a bit bothered that some are claiming that they've not had any correspondence from anyone about anything, but I keep suggesting they write to me so I can ensure I have the right contact details. They really, really don't want to do that for some reason.
Okay, so the Halifax (Amazon Mastercard*), Argos Store Card and Argos Mastercard are all claiming they've not heard from Valour yet, even though another person from Argos Mastercard called last week and asked me to confirm that Valour, who they had received a letter from, were indeed acting on my behalf.Either there's a communication breakdown or they're a bunch of liars.
* Halifax have, in fact, discontinued their agreement with Amazon, and the account has switched to a Halifax one. Just who would my CCA have been with? And should I write to them asking for a copy? I'm sure the Amazon CCA was done online anyway, so won't have my actual signature on.
Anyway, all I can say now is, bring on the defaults and let us get on with it, instead of dragging feet and sticking charges upon charges.spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0 -

Hello Everyone,
Glad to see so many people on here, stops me from getting too depressed about this whole sorry mess I have gotten myself into.
Just an update from me, I offered Natwest £800 ( My Mum's bonus which she is giving me - without any need to pay back - yes she's a star !!) and they said NO as they needed at least 50% to consider it.
I haven't got any more money but I have got a charges refund complaint thingy in with them waiting. Shall I write again offering them £800 and telling them I will take the charges no further ( totals over £1100 ) ?? so that plus my £800 is nearly £2k and I owe them £2400.
I only have 4 creditors, I owe all the others a lot more so can't even try it with them.
Does anyone else feel that the banks etc are getting a bit less likely to sell our debts on now as so many peole are in trouble ????

Sorry guys that seemed a bit harsh - I just meant I'm glad we all have each other for support - not that I'm glad you are all in this mess too
