Unfortunately the link is broken and I can't load the page. I've downloaded it through CNET downloads but it won't run - is this because IE is not working? I've added it to the allow program list in my firewall.

Yes I can through Google search links - but it's weird - sometimes completely different webpages open like youtube or ebay when I click on a totally unassociated link. Looks like the PC is riddled with viruses.

I appear to be able to download programs as they appear in the program list - but they don't run or they crash. They only anti -virus I've managed to run this morning is the CCleaner one!

I've managed to download it from CNET - all the desktop icons have disappeared so I located it in programs and doubleclicked Mbam - nothing happened! Tried twice.

Am currently scanning again using Virgin Broadband anti-virus - which now appears to be working - and this will take an age to finish and will probably turn up nothing!
