NOTE TO MODERATORS...THE EMAIL ADDRESSES ARE ONLY EXAMPLES AND DO NOT (AS FAR AS I KNOW EXIST) PLEASE DO NOT DELETE AS THE EXAMPLES ARE REQUIRED FOR UNDERSTANDING...THANK YOU

A little-known fact about googlemail accounts is that you can have an unlimited amount of aliases for each account.

Most people are aware that for a googlemail account you can also use gmail as an alias.
e.g MyEmailAccount@googlemail.com is the same as MyEmailAccount@gmail.com

Just remember to sign in on the original one that you created;)

Another way of adding more (and unlimited) aliasses is the use of the +

eg MyEmailAccount+Anything@googlemail.com
or MyEmailAccount+NastyHorribleSiteThatMightSpamMe@googlemail.com

will all get directed to the same account.

The syntax is a plus sign after your account name, but before the "@"

This can be useful since you can then tell which company is selling your email addresses, or spamming you.

Obviously, for us it could get used for say

MyEmailAccount+Competition1@googlemail.com
MyEmailAccount+Competition2@googlemail.com
etc

each email will show up on most databases as a different entry,(therefore as a different email address), although it will get routed back to your original account.

Happy Couponning,
Have fun,
VC:beer::beer:

Heres the details :beer:
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

I even took some printing ink cartridges back to Tesco the other day. I said 'I can't see myself using them up very quickly now you've pulled the coupon policy, so I have changed my mind'. :D

And yes, I had couponed the receipt down to pennies so the trout-pout CS lady scowled & gave me a nice giftcard which I used up on my last lot of Tesco petrol as I drove out and off to pastures new (didn't buy anything of course).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Don't want to teach you how to suck eggs, and didn't want to put on main forum....hopefully this will make links easier for you:beer:

When you have the page open (that you are going to link to) you will probably have a navigation bar at the top with it's URL (something like http:// forums.moneysavingexpert.com/) left click anywhere in there, then press "ctrl" and "A" together.....it should highlight it All. then ctrl+C to copy it.

Then when you are in your posting type something such as "link"
and then highlight it by getting the cursor to the beginning of the word, hold down the left mouse button and come to the end of the bit you want to highlight, then release the mouse button.

with that then highlighted, click on the little world icon, with a chain link on it,(just under the smiley face to the right of the "fonts" and "letter" size at top of posting box)

RIGHT click in the space for the link (saves you deleting the http that is already there) and you should get the option to "paste" ...then press ok.....link is in place.

Hope this help:beer::beer:

How to delete unwanted messages

Go to your message and press edit your message (down beside the quote button), then ....delete.....click the little box that says "delete message" and then give a reason....I normally stick it something like...."unneeded".... or "repeated info" but I don't suppose it matters then on bottom Right click "delete this message"
It's nice to be nice .....:beer:

I keep getting the message that windows reports that my computer is infected and do i want to run anti virus scan/software but when I do AVG security advise that the free verson that i have is not good enough and I need to buy their better version - the I get their alert that my computer is being attacke by an internet virus which could be password stealing attack a trojan dropper or similar and i must buy their security package and that my system might be at risk now - it seems like a ploy to me to get me to buy their security but I am not sure and either way canh anyone advise how to solve this probem - stop them keep asking me to buy and check for viruses as I have no idea what to do
Do I need to call in a professional to check my computer and anything I did before the message came up is hte info safe if i was logged onto a secure site or do I have to worry about confidential info being stolen
I am at my wits end so anyone with any advice please - Thanks

I 'm no techie expert , but if AVG is not going to scan for you, try one of the others that offer a free scan...http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/WelcomePage.asp
