No sorry..... it would be nice though....the "advert" is part of the "deal" for giving us the free money, I guess.

Ink isn't that precious, though, Tesco's sell it and you pay in MOCS;)

Anyone got a good recomendation for a printer that prints coupons (Smart coupons and couponnet barcodes etc) in good enough quality to be scanned?

My canon ip2600 seems to always have really cruddy barcodes so i worry it wont scan lol.

Im hoping to get one from Mr T's but i like to refill the ink myself using the tesco value ink refill kits.

Anyone got experience? i.e lexmark etc?

    Hi Neas,
I get a similar problem with a Canon i550 whenever I stick a new cartridge in, UNLESS I do the following.

Go into printer properties, maintenance, print head cleaning, then afterwards, do a nozzle check. repeat the above until it comes out clear.

I presume the ip 2600 will be similar (or more advanced to the i550 in this respect.

Occasionally I also have to lift out the print head and give a wipe with a baby wipe or kitchen roll to clear ink spilt from refills and then repeat the above nozzle check.

If I haven't used the printed for a while, I'll also do a quick nozzle check before printing coupons.....better to use up a little ink than waste a £2 coupon;)

PM if you need any assistance, and I'll do my best:beer::beer:

    Which cartridfges does that use?

PG40 and CL41? Its peculiar what im getting seems to be cartridge to cartridge variation.

They scanned alright it just looks worse than the PG-39 cartridge prints out. Maybe im just being picky but the barcode lines arent 'straight' they are a bit pixelarted with extra black bits ifyswim.

No idea what the originals for mine are....I use Tesco C13 and C103...and refill them.
The software for cleaning print head, should hopefully be similar though:beer:
Squiggly lines should not happen....so sounds still like a dirty print head or a worn out cartridge.

Yes, well, now I'm unblocked from C'net don't pop in so often......Strange how their blocking only affected one machine though (Thought it was an IP block?).......Will be a good boy on this PC from now on ;)
