The following link should solve all your problems:beer:

I think I need a degree in computer science after reading that:eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I just got the pm today when I logged on and have answered you:A
    I am not a beige person:D
  • Trying to cut costs (as always) bought Tesco compatible inks for the Epson SX200 - prints very unclear with replacement colours not printing -then afterwaisting loads of ink eventually printed but colours not true. Couple more prints " cartridge not recognised" changed inks to real ones and now OK. had to put in a new black one as that run out with all the messing about.
Read you could peel off gold bar code and put that on "other" makes could not get it off. Taking the whole lot back .
    Moan over !
I am sure I read on here (cant find it now Ive gotr a memory like a sieve and seem to only recall parts of information)
the problem with Epson is that after about 12 months depends on how much printing i suppose) the ink collector becomes full and u have to get this emptied/changed by a proper engineer no DIY possible , but that this was really costly. Any one remember this or had experience of this ?

Last time I was onto Epson when had problems wireless they offered me a warranty think about £10 - i of course said no . Wouls this ink changing be covered by warranty ? If so it may be the one time when the manufactureres warranty is worth having.
Any one got any advise or ideas on this

    Hi Strawberryberry...

hopefully m4rtin will pop along and give you more advice, more his expertise this one;)

warranty will not IMHO be covered by anything other than manufacturer's own ink.

I thought it was HPs that had the ink reservoir issue:confused:...but te only HP I have is laser HP, so not sure.

If you google you will find software mods for most printers to tell them when they are re-filled, I go for the easy option, for day-to-day printing, however and use a canon, no chips, and uses tesco compatibles, as long as they are inserted tightly:o, otherwise they leak as well.

One useful tip I found was to always sit new cartridges on kitchen roll before inserting, any excess ink that would go all over the machine is then absorbed without making a mess of the printer heads.
It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)

  • Thanks VC,
good tip about the kitchen roll - the epson originals didnt seem to leak but the Tesco ones went everyehere - my fingers were a horrible yellow colour ,( looked like I was a 90 a day ciggie smoker)and some got on my clothes. I will do the google search and hopefully martin will see this and give some advice as to the ink resevoir.
Dad needs a new printer so may tell him to go for the cannon instead when they r on offer as compatibles r so much cheaper .
I had saved all my epson old cartridges - about 10 of them to take the gold bar code off then to send off for the 100 points in the T recycle bag. Went to put them in to day noticed small print - do not send epson cartridges  binned the lot now !

I need help VC! I'm having a problem printing coupons. Yesterday I was printing as happy as Larry when all of a sudden the trouble started. When I print now I am only getting the graphics, no text or bar code. I have uninstalled the printer and re-installed it but that didn't work. I plugged the printer into my pc to see if it was just my laptop having the problem but my pc is'n't printing right either. I uninstalled the coupon printer and re-installed it but again it didn't fix the problem. I have used 2 different ip addresses but still not printing right. Do you think couponnet has done something to stop me from printing? That is the only thing I can think of. Is anyone else with multiple computers having the same problem or is it just me? HELP!!!!!!!

Edit: Just in case you need to know this, I was using IE on the laptop to print and FF on my pc to print.

2nd Edit: Just thought I'd try to print the Airwick coupon as that is not from couponnet and again all I got was the graphics. Boy do I need help!
Murphy knows me too well and sticks to me like glue!

Sher, it is only the black causing an issue then, clean the print head (and perhaps give it a new cartridge), and problem will be solved:beer:

  • last week or week before i got couponnet to download and install and print coupons, except i was out of ink so they didnt work. somehow i managed to delete the coupon printer and now it wont install again.

i was using the last previous version of firefox when it worked, not have moved up to the newest firefox, allowed cookies, turned off /exited ad blocking doofers etc. its letting me see the page of coupons, when i click print now it tells me to download the software, which i have now done numerous times tonight (before and after runing reg fix on ccleaner numerous times and normal ccleaner scan numerous times). it comes up and says there was a problem installing it every single time.

    help?
  • ah hah apparently i had to go into add and remove programs and completely uninstall coupon printer from there before it would reinstall properly, clicking on the uninstall link in the start menu was not sufficient. now working perfectly.

ccleaner has it's own uninstall feature that does the same as the windows control panel uninstall, but clears the detriment at the same time....glad you found a solution:T
