 as you know i am not techie:o
I got so confused and upset that I thought the power button was something differernt to what i call the on/off switch . I am still having problem but had to come off the comp on Sat as I felt so ill and have not dared touch it since but M4rtins advice worked a treat _ I did try to get back online to thank him but the screen froze and wouldn't let me back on so I just swithced off again and walked away, son visited and was so angry when he saw how ill I looked that he said he would throw the comp in the bin if he ever finds me like that again:eek: so I must be a good girl and stick to my allotted time on here no matter what porblems I encounter
I think I am going to have to run my recovery disc which will wipe everything off of my computer as it is the only way I can think to sort it - drastic I know but I have to uninstall Panda in order to install new security the only other option is to get someone in and that will cost me so i am opting for the cheaper solution:confused::mad::eek:
Thanks for your comments/advice everyone, much appreciated even though I couldn't sort it
    I am not a beige person:D

starting up in safe mode and uninstalling....so the program hasn't had a chance to start working , may work.....to enter safe mode, check your user manual, but normally esc, delete, F5 or F8, as the computer starts booting up, when first turned on....then select the option to boot in safe mode:beer:
It's nice to be nice .....

If it was working AFTER the install and just stopped working now, probably nothing to do with IE8...I wont even mention IE8 and firefox, I'll politely by-pass that bit;)....if not working sine the install, you could use the system restore function to go back to just prior to the installation (you can always undo it aftrerwards, create a restore point for NOW to return to) and see if it then starts working again....if it does, then you have your answer...
If still not workiing after system restore, then restore back to NOW and ask further advice.

Amazingly enough Dr W-W...I can answer this...dont faint...you don't have to set them up...just go to wherever you normally send emails and send yourself one to the googlmail address you have set up...then...add a + after the bit before title you used( before the @)and send that to yourself and it will appear in your googlemail inbox...thenn do the same with both those addresses 1 with a + and 1 without but type in gmail after the @ and you'll get those as well....I've surprised myself here...but it works...4 emails addresses just like that !!! as TC ( not VC) would say....when you receive them in your googlemail inbox they should have a (2) in brackets after the emails that were to the gmail and the googlemail , showing there are 2 messages there for you in each one....so you will see 2 messages in your inbox both a 2 after them ...open each and HEY PRESTO and there is another message in there...i did it sending Test 1/Test2/Test3/Test4...and then after the penny dropped I saw how it had worked.......brain about to explode now....do you think i could get a job in IT now????

    Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You don't need to set them up, just use the new blahblah+1 address and it will come to your blahblah account ....you need to include the "+" try emailing to your googlemail account with the "+" and anything after it:beer:

When I try to go into google mail on my laptop, keeps redirecting for ages and then comes up with this message

The requested URL /accounts/ServiceLogin... is too large to process
I can go into and log in fine on main computer
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)
